Oh, man! This is one I've been waiting for.  Really wanting to put these in the bag as the old Mizzy's are starting to show their age.  Crossing fingers...and toes.

Ping S56/4 - PW

I just ordered i210s 5 - GW to replace the S56s.

This opportunity is custom made for me.  I just retired a few weeks ago and have the time to dedicate.  My first set of irons was the Ben Hogan Apex II.  I still regret trading them in, I remember them as the best feeling irons I have ever played.  I have tried many since that first set.

(5) TESTERS WANTED!!!

Ben Hogan Ft. Worth Black Irons

In the words of Peter Wolf - don't touch the knobs 'cause I think we're gonna have some fun with this one....

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Ben Hogan Company. The brand has has plenty of ups and more than its share of downs, but it's still with us and as a brand, it still maters.

With three new product launches this year, Hogan has firmly reestablished itself as a brand to be reckoned with, and we have a unique opportunity for 5 lucky forum members to test, review and keep a set of the sexy, new Ft. Worth 15 Black irons.

TESTERS WANTED:

The Ft. Worth Black, with its rugged Diamond Black Metal finish, is most definitely a player's iron. It's a 1025 forged blade, and Hogan says it gives the better player the feel, accuracy and consistency his or her game demands.

We're looking for 5 of you to test the Fort Worth Blacks and let the MyGolfSpy Community what you think!

This review opportunity is open to any golfer in the US, Canada or the UK. Sorry lefties - this one is for your right-handed brethren only.

HOW TO APPLY:

We take our Forum Member Testing quite seriously here at MyGolfSpy, and it's imperative you apply in the right place - which is right here in the Forum and NOT back in the blog.

To be eligible, please tell us - in this thread - the following:

First name and home state/province

Age and handicap

Your current iron set/makeup

Thanks for applying! We'll be announcing the testers in this thread next week, so make sure to check back to see if you've been selected.

David - North Carolina

Age 30 - 5.4 handicap

Hogan Apex FTX irons 3-PW, Cleveland 52 and 56 degree RTX 588 medium bounce.

Should say this is for now. I am thinking about throwing another wedge in my bag and taking out my five wood. Then maybe putting some sort of fairway wood 3 iron replacement in the bag. To gap between my 4 iron and 3 wood. I don't hit the 5 wood and 3 wood that much different distance wise, and hit most of my drives (when we play from the whites) to inside a hundred. I can hit all the shots with my current set up, but I think the extra versatility with an added wedge would help my game.

I've had my Apex FTX irons since the year they came out. I get so many compliments on them and hit them really well. I would love to compare them to the new range of Been Hogan clubs, and declare for one and all that the esteemed club maker is back!!! These irons look fantastic and u hope they feel the same!
