Upper core, mid core, lower core?

Recommended Posts

I'd never heard of it, but a quick google search bought up this.

It seems to be matching your swing to how you naturally move. On the surface it doesn't sound unreasonable, but I have no real knowledge of it.

Ya I've googled it before as well but I was just hoping someone had experience with this method if they could break it down easier. I understand the concept it's just trying to diagnose which one I am which is the hard part I find.

Based on my scanning of the online documents and research you have to do a variety of tests to determine what you are.

I think the online stuff explains it pretty well. Not sure you can do the tests by yourself as they require you to apply force to a ball you are holding with both hands.

From the website....

"The Upper Core Swing, The New Revolution" and in it, he shares some eye-opening research that has guided a new way of helping golfers find their own natural swings.

What I take from that page is an Ex tour pro moved into coaching and looking for something 'different' to sell over the plethora of coaches out there.

Helping golfers find their own natural swings! surely they already have their own natural swing?

I'm a bit cynical (old age) with "New Revolution" instruction especially after things like Tethata, stack and tilt etc

There might be some gems of wisdom in there though so will watch with interest.

Interesting that there are two new threads opened about this same topic just a few days apart.

https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/24938-larry-rinker-and-wright-balance

As I said in the other thread, I'm leery of any system that divides players into different groups, and provides different advice for each group.  Actually, I'm leery of any golf "system", instruction should really be individualized to be at its best.

This looks really like someone trying to invent something new

What is he referring to when he means upper core? is he referring to the body? If so then that is really confusing. In all the exercising I have done and research on it, I have never heard of the upper core. The body has simply a core which refers to the midsection of the body in which all power is generated from.
