Honestly, you would think that both of them would have gone even lower than 59 on multiple occassions, but I guess this is just a strange anomoly. Tiger for the most part played a select schedule that was usually the big events on big tough courses. He rarely played course like this where a lot of the pre-tournament talk was about how it set up as one of the easiest courses they would see all year. Secondly Tiger was very strategic in course management and often times would not fire at pins but play to the percentages. Then of course is his struggles with driver accuracy for many years. Tough to go low from the trees. Which going back to his fianl round at the PGA makes that 64 even more impressive.
