RH716
I'm heading down to Williamsburg next month for a little golf trip and I'm trying to pick our courses. I've only played Williamsburg National Jamestown course about 6 years ago and it was in good shape. If anyone is familiar with any of these courses and can shed some light on whether or not they're worth playing or has other suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. We are looking at about 4 or 5 rounds, maybe an afternoon replay a couple days. These are the ones I'm looking at: Kiskiack Colonial Heritage Williamsburg National Jamestown or Yorktown Golden Horseshoe Green or Gold Cypress Creek in Smithfield Thanks in advance! No matter where you go, there you are.
Golfspy_CG2
The first two are very good. I don't know about the rest. But look up Vintera. It's about 20 miles west of Williamsburg. But we'll worth the trip. One of my favorite courses Ibe played this year and I've been to Pinehurst. I haven't played some of them in a while. Potentially consider adding Fords Colony; they have 3 courses and Brickshire to the list. Rob is correct Vinnetara is another good option. I like Colonial Heritage it generally seems to be in good condition. Williamsburg National was always questionable condition wise in my opinion. Played the Golden Horseshoe Green last year and it is nice, but the Gold would be my preferred choice. Cypress Creek is my regular course; would suggest adding something in the Williamsburg area instead of making the trek to Smithfield. Haven't played Kiskiack in quite a few years so I can't answer about condition. HardcoreLooper
I've played them all, but it's been quite a while for some of them. I'll third the recommendation for Viniterra. It really is a great course. Last weekend, I played with a couple guys that had recently played one of the Williamsburg National courses (I forget which one) and they said it's in much better shape than it had been in recent years. I'm a fan of both Golden Horseshoe courses, but especially the Gold. I just recently played Cypress Creek. It's a fun course, but I agree with @cnosil that you can find courses just as good in Williamsburg. If you go to Paul's Deli in Williamsburg, try the Hot Holly and the loaded cheese fries. And don't ask students for directions What's in the bag: Driver - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Wood (13.5*) - 980F 4 Wood (18*) - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Hybrid (19*) - RBZ 4i - PW - D7 Forged - Recoil 760 ( S ) 52* - CBX 58* - CBX Full Face 2 Putter - Craz-e Bag - 2.5 (Blue) Ball - AVX Instagram - @hardcorelooper Twitter - @meovino Facebook - mike.eovino
reschwartz
In addition to Viniterra, I'd recommend Brickshire. It's in the same area. Conditions are superb. Fun course, player friendly but challenging for all levels.

Hula Rock
Love Golden Horseshoe, Kingsmill, Viniterra, Fords Colony should be given some consideration. If you are staying in Williamsburg, take note, Cypress Creek is 45-60 minutes away.....
