I normally don't say anything when not applying... but mark my words... this one sets a record.   Good luck everyone!

Ok....I couldn't quite get the thread to 2500 to become one of the all time Testing threads, but we don't need numbers to do that. These two models of irons do that well enough. So let's just get t

Playing i3 Blades with 350 series by Aldila X-Stiff. They are still great clubs.

I gave up golf for a few years, forgot how to play. I'm making the comeback and index will be back to single digits soon.

The i210s would be great to try.

Handicap Index 0.1

Current clubs  Ping S56, 5-PW, Orange dot, DG S/L S300 shaft, Ping cord grip men's standard

Club desired - i500

I tried a demo club for both the i210 and the i500 at a store.  I thought the i210 would be right because it looks so much like my current irons, but it felt very soft.  The i500 felt great.  My concern with them is that, from what I've heard, they fly very far and it may be hard to establish consistent distance gaps between clubs.  That's why I'd love to try a whole set of i500 irons.

Playing both PING i200 red dot stiff AWT 2.0

and Titleist AP-1 718 stiff red AMTs.

Hoping to find out if i500s give the distance of AP-1s with workability of the i200s.

My choice: i500!

Thanks!
