I think the good news is that the problem is more than just Brady leaving. The roster needs some serious work. If they can improve that then I saw no reason they can't be competitive again. So as many other fans do I'll watch to see if anyone pops and then sit and hope for next year.

How can you even be a fan when you admit to being a bandwagoneer? "your team" loses brady and suddenly you're no longer a fan? So which winning team are you now going to jump onto? A "real" fan lives with the ups and downs of their team over a lifetime, and thats what makes a winning run better. And a losing stretch agonizing.

You're right.  I make no pretense of being a fan.

I was a fan of the Boston Patriots in the 1960s and went to games at Fenway Park fairly often--at least a couple a year.

After the merger with the NFL and the move to Foxborough, I lost interest completely.

It took the magnificence of the Brady-Belichick era to pique my interest because they were so special.  Even then, I wasn't a football fan in general. I NEVER watched a non-Patriots game--even the Super Bowl if the Pats weren't in it. So I enjoyed the twenty years and now it's over.

No big deal, but I really did enjoy that Pats team that went to nine super bowls (Pats have been to the most, winning 6 of 11) and almost all of the AFC championship games in those decades.  Nothing lasts forever.  Ordinary football is a very popular game, but I'm just not into it.

Pats won a football match against a decent Baltimore club this week.

I snoozed on my recliner through most of it, though.

Just needed a break from MSNBC and Korean RomComs on Netflix.

Maybe I'll see some of another one before the season ends.  Probably.

It will never be the same, but who can complain after having had the Brady years?

He was killing it earlier in the year. Defense is totally letting down your offense. It’s like they have to score every time to keep up with the opponent because the defense can’t stop anyone

The defense has been a problem for years. Paul Guenther (DC) was let go after the game... bout time!

As for Carr... he has never been the same since he broke his leg in 2016. It's time to replace him. He's serviceable, but he isn't a guy that can put his team on his back pull out a win. He just isn't that guy.

You’re record is too good for a top qb. You could always trade for wentz since Gruden has a man crush on him

I'd make that trade. Wentz is a good QB... he just doesn't have a team around him. He would have a much better offense in Vegas. Unfortunately, the defense can't stop a high school team from scoring, so...............................

If I was the Eagles gm I'd trade Wentz for Carr, or for a few others like Newton, Trubisky, Foles, etc just to get rid of the salary.  I have memories of Bobby Hoying so I am not thinking that Hurts is the answer after just 1 game but I know Wentz isn't worth the $$$ he is taking up in the salary cap either.

I suppose there is a reason why Vegas is always in business... they don’t lose much.
