From the Rev’s office. @Rick have you seen the Huskies play this year? We are clearly on the comeback trial. Bouknight is the real deal - better than Hamilton or Ben Gordon as freshman. That’s rarified company. Hurley has something brewing with a top 20 class in and the making of another one on the way. We just need to hang on long enough to see the results.

Clearly they will win before the Giants who are a mess.

Ping G410 - turned down to11.25 degrees, neutral setting - Fujikura Motore X R flex

Ping G410 5-9 wood

Wilson D7 forged 6-GW -  Mamiya recoil 460 R flex

SCOR 52,60

EVNRoll ER 5

Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them

Currently testing Edison wedges to replace SCORS that are wearing out. Also auditions for the 14th spot in the bag.  Current possibilities are a Ping 26 degree hybrid - duplicates the 9 wood or 5 iron but would be used almost exclusively for chipping or Tour Exotics 3 wood simply because you can carry 14 clubs and I might occasionally hit it in certain unusual wind conditions once every four or five rounds.

I'm thinking the NFL has a huge image and player safety issue. If it doesn't resolve these it's nothing but a novelty sport in a decade.   That would be sad     Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfS

WOWEEEE WHAT A FINISH!!! It's not offense or defense that wins championships, it's KICKING. Hekker flipped the field with some booming precision and Zuerlein knocked them stone cold from distance

Fixed it for ya.

What a nice pendant!! Giants are horrible.
I caught parts of 2 UCONN games, one was a nice win the other was a loss to I believe was St Joseph’s.
I want to catch a UCONN Men’s B-ball in FL if there’s a UCONN Club bus trip.

It did for me as well.  Once Csonka and Griese retired the Dolphins haven't been the same since.

Niners are tough but Jimmy G. will struggle post season.

My Vikings..oh my Vikings..Please beat Seattle.

NE is just gettin by and they are one of my favs but they wil lose out inte playoffs if they dont win home field.

NO..love to see Drew in the SB again.

Seattle is dangerous.

Ravens are the best team going with a running QB on fire. Tough to beat. Dont love running QBs and its only a matter of time he gets hurt.

Tell me, kind Vicar,

instead of showing me that Super Bowl XLII pennant, why didn't you just stab me in the eye with a rusty fishing knife?

The game was a lot more physical in the 70's. It was harder to win consistently when the QB was fair game and WR's got mugged all the way down the field. Defense won championships. Today, defenses aren't allowed to play.

In the 70's there was the Steelers, Raiders, Dolphins, Cowboys, and maybe throw the Redskins in there as pretty much dominating the decade. Today there is only the Patr*ots that really dominate. I'll leave out why that might be...lol.

Football is a different game today from the 70’s just as golf is. It is what it is. I don’t know that it’s better or worse.

The same is true with other sports. There weren’t too many 6’11” perimeter players in the NBA in the 70’s. One guy (1) threw 100 in MLB and a shift was bizarre -

Things change

Here's the thing, S&B. Season tickets are expensive. Private boxes even more expensive. People who buy them want to see the players that they're paying to see ON THE FIELD.

Sponsors pay billions to televise NFL games.  They expect ratings so people see their ads. People watch to see the stars, not the people left standing at the end.

And more important than ANY of that, brain and spinal cord injuries REALLY SUCK.  Changing the rules to prevent them is a GOOD THING.  The Roman Colosseum is in ruins. Let's keep it that way. We're supposed to evolve.

... Amen Rev, it is a very different game because players have physically exceeded how the game was meant to be played. No face mask meant using the head much less and players used to have to tackle, not make vicious hits. And nobody envisioned 6'5" 275lb DE's that would be at full speed in 3 steps. The size, power and especially the speed of these amazing athletes makes it impossible for NFL QB's to survive if they can be hit anywhere at full speed. I have stated this before but my son played a hybrid DE/LB at 6'3" and 255lbs running a 4:59 forty. That was faster than every position played but one speedy WR I played with in college 1971.
