... You drive a hard bargain ... Hmmmm ....  OK!!! But being fully transparent, Fields has a dislocated thumb so someone will have to hold his Natty Ice for him and Trey Lance will have to drive him to practice:

Ben, I made this prediction two weeks ago, and now I’m thinking that I may have been optimistic: If the Bills are going to make the playoffs it will need to be as a Wild Card team, and their record will likely be 10-7.  As I said, that may have been an optimistic prediction the way things currently look.

As a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, it pains me greatly to have to think and say this, but the Bills defense can’t stop anyone, and their offense, including Josh Allen, make too many mistakes and dubious decisions week after week.

... Haha you have had your QBs and have been sentenced to 25 years of mediocre to terrible. And it's too late for the Bears as they will win some games with Bagent at QB, so they will be out of the CW derby. But thankfully they have the Panthers pick so fingers crossed the Panthers can go winless and the Bears pick 1st or 2nd!  I will be happy to "settle" for Drake Maye.

Just keeps going from bad to worse for GB. Play calling that I cannot understand, defense under performing but don’t have the HOF QB to bail them out. All the deficiencies being magnified and exposed. Knew it was going to be a tough one this year though!

Buffalo is keeping Josh constrained in order to protect his health.  I get it...it also takes away his greatest advantage.  Miami can't beat anyone with a winning record and if Buffalo can go .500-.600 the remainder of the season then I am still optimistic.  I won't quit on them but it'll be an uphill battle with all these injuries on Defense.

I have no problem with constraining Josh to minimize the potential for injury.  It’s his poor decision-making this season that really gets to me. He has been throwing too many balls into double coverages and failing to throw the ball away when needed. In addition, he seems to want to throw every pass at 100+ MPH, making it harder on his receivers to make the catch, plus causing too many passes to sail high over the receiver’s head.

New England and Buffalo both beat the Bills today.  So disappointing...

Just wish the patriots could sustain drives like they did today. Defensively its so fun to watch this team but man that line is as bad if not worse than the giants.

Every week is a battle. I don’t care how good your team is when you’re playing professionals anything can happen. 
 

I am certain that NE’s fate is sealed this season but for a moment you guys earned a well deserved reason to celebrate. Solid showing.

I’m not so done on the defense. A lot of guys have stepped up. Marv Levy always said, depth is a good thing until you have to utilize it. 
 

Josh hasn’t been the same player since the 13 second game and nobody will convince me otherwise.

... I heat that and it reminds me of one of may favorite all time QBs. I know it's tough to know when to fit a ball in a tight window and Jay Cutler did it as well or better than anyone I ever saw. But there were times he needed to just throw the ball away and he had so much faith in his strong arm and accuracy that he forced too many throws that ended up making the difference in a win or loss. It is what makes the Cutlers/Allens inferior to the Bradys/Mannings.

I thought a while back they should have kept Rich Bisaccia after he took over and at least led them with some discipline of playing better on both sides of the ball, and a winning record.

Some takeaways from this week.

 

Josh McDaniels is a toxic ineffectual coach.  He should not have received a HC job after the debacle in Denver.

Hindsight is 20/20 and it's easy to say oh wow, they won the following week however they won because Coach Pierce realized this team needed some Dan Campbell-style energy in their lives.  I won't say they're a contender but if I were a Raiders fan, my outlook on this team is higher than it's been in a while.

It also begs the question...why do so many of Belichick's disciples fail so hard?

Weis, Crennel, Patricia, Judge, McDaniels, Garrett, Quinn, Kiffin...

 

Josh Dobbs is awesome...Super intelligent on and off the field.  The way he played under such pressure...Maybe it's not too late to see Minnesota make a move?

 

Last...my Bills...I am relieved that this division is far from decided but there are some massive issues.  McDermott in my eyes has been a coach who makes a bad team good but won't make a good team great.  I have no clue what is being discussed between Coach, Dorsey and Josh...The only recurring theme is that the staff is containing him too much and forcing him to not be the free-wheeling and exciting player we've come to know.  I'll never quit on Buffalo even with this painful underachieving season at stake.

It is sad to see the Bears and Cardinals with the records they have. The sad thing about the Panthers, as an NFC South rival, is that they won a game. I'd like the Panthers better at 0-8.

 

It's a bitter disappointment to see the Falcons at 4-5. And watching the games I amazed they have won that many.

... Haha you and me both! As a Bears fan that have the Panthers first round pick in the Maye/Wlliams derby in April a No Win season would have been ideal. But I can live with one victory, especially if Murray comes back and manages a win or two for the Cardinals. But that puts the Bears in a tough spot for their own pick as they play the Panthers and need to win, then play the Cardinals and need to lose. As much as fans want what's best for their team, the players and coaches want to win because their livelihood depends on it and of course their competitive nature that got them to the NFL means they are gonna try and win every game.
