Official MYGOLFSPY Fantasy Football League 2018

In the name of completeness, you can count me in. Would like to start a petition for some rule changes. Here's my first bright idea:

 

1) More teams make playoffs and single-week playoff games (instead of 2 week games)

I'm fine with this if we must, but it's not very fair if one inferior team happens to have 1 player go off. (think jamaal charles in 2013)

 

Could we do 1 week playoffs and 2 for the championship maybe???

5) Points for defensive wins

 

6) Pool Play Week 1

 

7) Punters!

 

8) IR slot

 

 

Edit: We could run league votes for some/all of this list once everyone gets signed up.

5- fine with D getting extra points for a win but don't want it to be too many. Bad D's win bc of good offenses often.

 

6- pool play for a week would be cool. Not opposed

 

7- punters.... you lost me there. I have no interest in them or how we'd even score them. Hell I would be fine with a league with no kickers. It's pure luck trying to predict kickers having good games.

 

8- I'm good with an IR slot

 

We can do league votes on all of it. Fine with me!

 

@strokerace I think we've always done PPR iirc. 30 second draft timer is a bit quick. 1 minute isn't that long. I'd say 45 seconds would be the shortest we should go. Remember how everyone talked about how fast it went last year and it was only 1 min time limit.

Of course you are in. I don't believe we need any help this year but if I or Stud decide to bow out at some point then I'm sure we'd be happy to give you our spot.

why the IR slot?  seems like you'd end up "hoarding" players for no good reason...

 

DEF can be fairly random as well so bonus/extra points skews things....

 

1 minute timer is fine...

 

playoffs weeks 14-16 ... single elimination....

 

hey @GolfSpy_STUDque ... pull some strings, reach into that closet and get us a cool prize!  
MGS swag (or store credit) for top 3 would be really cool, IMHO.

Could we draft any day other than next Monday or Tuesday? I work night shift so I'd be at work during those evenings and I'm not the biggest fan of autodraft

Blasphemous to call him a bad punter. Richardson got busy in Super Bowl XXXV and was the cornerstone of the Ravens victory. As a child, I remember watching that game in total awe of his punting prowess. His superb field position management lead to the game winning score. One could say his skill is the only reason he doesn't own the solo record for most punts in a Super Bowl.

 

This man is an American treasure. With a 41.1 career average, it's a wonder he isn't in the Hall of Fame.

I did a punter spot once for funsies with kicker. Worked like this. We did net yards, scoring them like you would a defense giving up yards. +1 for every punt inside the 20, -3 for every punt blocked

I went to the mountains same as last year (no service) and this time I made sure that the place we were staying had wifi...

 

Naturally I get there and there isnt any wifi/ internet and the guy acts like he never told me there was any. Or that it wasn't the very first thing listed on VRBO. He's not getting 5 stars that's for sure.

 

We'll get draft stuff up and going asap.
