Why does it take so long for trades to go through? If both teams agree shouldn't it be immediate?
And what's with the veto? I doubt anyone would object and if there's obvious collusion one of the commissioners could reverse it..

Can we change this?

Every league I've played in has about a 2 day voting period for trades. It makes it more fair to have members vote rather than leave everything up to the commish.

I've played in a lot of leagues and have never had a waiting period and never had voting on a trade... think about it if you made a trade on Friday or Saturday you would not be able to start the players you traded for by game time on Sunday... that's ridiculous you should be able to trade when you want to with the other team... having a trade veto is the dumbest thing I've ever heard and if anyone ever vetoed a trade I did I would be out of that League quicker than s***

I agree that the veto thing is ridiculous but that steams from my local league that vetoes every trade no matter how fair they are.  As far as the waiting aspect of  the trade, it doesn't bother me since the trade will go through in time for the games tomorrow.

 

On another note:  I am looking to move Rudolph for a RB2 if anybody is interested.

My other league has a review period just for the commish. If he thinks it's questionable then he puts up a poll so the rest of the teams can vote on it. Otherwise he pushes it through as fast as he can. I personally like that system.

Fun fact: I have a weird decision in my other league between starting Rogers or Mahomes. I chose to go with Rogers so I can feel good cheering against Mahomes since that's who @02uwmadgrad has starting.

Every MGS league through the years has had it and last year's money league of mine you played in had the voting review process. It may not have been as noticeable on ESPN but it was there.

I personally prefer the commish method, but that means that everyone in the league has to trust the commissioner implicitly. Something I didn't want to ask everyone to have to do.
I don't know about yall but I've played in few leagues here or there where I didn't fully trust the one running the league haha

We can change it to commissioner review but only via a vote.

I would have no problem at all if this way how we did it.  The commissioner looks at the trade and he decides it is fair push it through.  If something seems off, put up a poll for 1-2 days for a vote.  If you haven't noticed with my 3 trades so far, I like changing things up often.

Still looking for a RB for Kyle Rudolph if anybody is interested.

Yes I’m good with the commissioner having the power to approve a trade. If there seems to be any issues a quick vote amongst the owners to approve/disapprove would work.

Me and Stud talked it over and since it's a tandem commissioner situation, we may as well change it to commish review for trades. We'll talk over all trades and if we believe one is collusion, then we can bring attention to the rest of the league on it. 
This should speed up the trades process.
