Official MYGOLFSPY Fantasy Football League 2018

Dang, it would've been nice to win this week for my playoff picture. I've got a similar feeling after last night's barn burner as I did following the Redskins game:

I had a chance to win a game I shouldn't have but the 63 yard field goal came up short. 

 

 

Now, I've gotta face @TSauer who is fighting to get into the playoffs and @Danbrook who is better than his record implies with a roster full of question marks. I think my playoff picture looks like this:

 

2-0: *should* get first round bye

1-1: No bye but probably in

0-2: Maybe out of the playoffs

 

The full playoff picture is probably too much to do for our log jam in Digest but I think it's safe to say this double matchup provides a ton of excitement. 

 

I believe 10 teams in each conference are still mathematically eligible for the playoffs! Who's dancing?

Yep... Tyreek Hill single handedly cost me the win this week. 
This has been one of the most frustrating fantasy football seasons I've had in a long time, and that's in both of my leagues. Injuries and inconsistent play have just doomed me from the start. 

In another one of my leagues I was up by 36 and the person I was playing had Tyreek.....yep....

Assuming that I win at least one matchup this week, I think I should be in since I got a solid win last week against Bergtaur

CONGRATULATIONS to the 12 owners who advanced to the playoffs.  The playoff race came down to the very last week so you should be proud if you made it in.  Despite the match ups throughout, the top 6 point scorers in each conference still made the playoffs.  Fantrax's bracket leaves a little to be desired (will recommend this for upgrade next year) so I made my own.  See below:

 

If you missed the playoffs, thanks for joining us this season and thanks for the awesome competition throughout.  We hope to see you back next year!

Hey Stud, will the fantrax site be updated with this playoff bracket?

Didn't make the playoffs this year but I did notice a nice feature that fantrax has (perhaps it was a setting that was enabled?)....

I tried to drop Doyle since he's on IR before I even realized that the playoffs had started and I got an error saying that I couldn't drop anyone because I wasn't in the playoffs.  Nothing - NOTHING - worse than a team that drops a bunch of guys from their roster (out of spite?) because they didn't make the playoffs and then sitting back and watching while the playoff teams fight over their studs.

Special shoutout to @GolfSpy STUDque and @Undershooter30 for the yeoman's effort they put in this year getting so many guys involved.  

Looking forward to doing it again next August.  

Good luck in the playoffs and let's hope nobody gets hurt or suspended throwing the whole thing into disarray!

Didn't make the playoffs but had a ton of fun. Was very challenging with such deep leagues and strong players. Thanks for organizing it all and look forward to next season where I'll put up a better fight!
First time in a PPR so learned a lot for sure!

Question for commish. This bracket shows me playing blackngold while website has me playing stud muffins. I’m just glad I made playoffs I thought for sure I had just missed them!

Can confirm, it's a Fantrax bug. Every time I set the match ups, they revert back to this cross-conference default setup. I placed a ticket with them last night so I expect a response sometime today once they're in the office. They've been very good about fixing issues so far so I'll keep the faith. 

 

Just plan that the matchups will eventually reflect the bracket I posted.

Woot woot. Made the playoffs!

As one of the early naysayers. I will say fantrax has made me a fan. It just took some getting used too. Im only noting this because I haven't been very active around here and I was a naysayer at first.

Working my way into being more active here as baby has finally settled into a sleeping rythm and I'm finally all caught up with work from the time off.

Good luck to everyone who made the playoffs! I had one of the worst fantasy seasons in 15+ years of playing fantasy football, but that just makes me want to get right back at it next season even more.

PSA: The bug has been squashed. Your matchups now show correctly. The bracket will not show on the site since that's not currently a format they have; we'll be doing manual matchups from here on out. It's logged as a recommendation for future upgrades. In case you can't tell, we're paving the way for lots of things since leagues this size truly are a rarity.

I'm glad you "tested" that because I forgot all about that part. It's an option to lock eliminated rosters and, of course, we turned it on. Glad to see it worked!

 

 

 

 

Edit: Wanted to call out playoff tiebreakers too. 

 

Tiebreaker 1: Higher Seed

Tiebreaker 2: Regular Season Points

And to think there is a good chance it will only get bigger next season. Maybe for us folk who have been knocked out we can take guesses on how many potential teams next season? 4 pools of 12 anyone?

ETA: I mean that my RECORD was one of the worst, not the experience!!!! I read this post this morning and realized that may have been how it came across. The experience was great, awesome league members and a couple of commish's who were right on top of everything.

It's too bad that the season is over for those teams that didn't make the playoffs.  It would be nice to incorporate something for the consolation bracket....maybe the winner gets to select their draft position?

Well I'm the last man out (or first man out) or what have you so congrats to those who are in.  My team was just hitting its stride with some very good scores the past few weeks.  Great job by our commish! 

 

Thanks everyone for the fun season - I have another team that is still rolling along so I will focus on that.  My keeper league team is a work in progress (I won back to back years and collected some nice cash but contracts expired and I've been rebuilding a depleted roster.)  I've had some nice pick ups in that league and made a few trades to bolster my draft position - I'm set at RB - Elliot and Bell who is stashed, have some building blocks at QB (its a 2 QB league so that position is huge) and need lots of help at wide out - 2 third round and 3 4th round draft picks should help me out there.
