Srixon Release Timing

Just finished the First Look on Srixon's new Driver. Can someone explain why they would release this in mid September. The majority of US golfers may have a realistic 2 months left to play. The season is over. Why not release in early spring? Titleist does the same thing but they are more established. Just seems like the timing is totally off. I'm sure there will be guys to purchase now, but many are going to wait until next year. What am I missing?

My guess would be it gives them more time to get demo gear in the hands of the fitters. So when spring comes around and someone is looking for a new driver they will have them to try while Cally or tmag may still be a few weeks away from getting in stock

Mizuno is announcing the new JPX line in 2 days.

I'm sure you'll hear some rumblings from callaway soon regarding a new Apex.

I believe the two biggest selling seasons for golf are holidays and Father's day

4th quarter sales for public companies go along way to making BOD happy.

In addition don't forget the east coast isn't the only part of the US

The SE and Texas, Arizona and much of CA make up a huge part of the golf playing segment. Heck Foz plays 3486 rounds of golf a year himself

Also Mizuno, Titleist, Srixon, PING will all feature these releases as it's 2019 releases at the PGA Show in January.
