titobergt
I just recently put into play a blended set of MP18s. After today's JPX 919 release, I wonder if any MP players plan on making the switch? I think the MPs are a better looking club. Would love to give the JPXs a swing. Thoughts? MWGolf23
Hey, I've got MP-18 MB PW-8 and SC 7-4 like you. Loving them. (Wishing I went blade through 7 but still fantastic). Love the looks and the great performance. Been playing my best golf. Not switching. I do think these JPX 919 tours and forged are better looking than the 900s, which I think that is because they have a classier finish. They are beautiful clubs, a different kind of beautiful than the MP18s but I think it said the 919s have less spin overall and I don't need to lose any spin. Looks like we have pretty similar bags. I also have Vokey 52 and 56 wedges! titobergt
I agree, MWGolf23. The MP18s are the best looking MPs from Mizuno in years. I love the straight lines. Classic look. titobergt
Nope, DPattGolf. Don't see myself changing irons anytime in the near future. I am a longtime Mizuno guy (since the MP32 in about 2004). I love the MPs but with as much hype as the JPX line received, I have to admit, I gave it a thought. titobergt
Interesting to see that Rick Shiels was getting more ball speed from the MP18 MB than the JPX Tour. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought the JPX was supposed to produce faster ball speed? At the 7-ron, JPX 919 Tour had less total distance, slightly higher launch angle, and less spin. Maybe on miss hits? The 919 is supposed to be a little more forgiving than MP18 with added technology. Looking down at the club, it's almost impossible to tell the difference. The sound and feel are also nearly indiscernible. Nofear23
Love the set up. That's what I hope to aim for in the future to get a mixed set like that. I don't think you need to pursue the new jpx. I don't think there's a drastic difference between new jpx and previous jpx. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Freddyk69
A couple years ago I went from MP59s to 850 forged simply because I couldn't handle the long irons. Not happy with the fit I got on my 850's (i let them convince me I needed only 1/2" long and not a whole 1") but other than that, I got what I wanted with 850's.
