10 foot putt for birdie...... do YOU make it?

I might not, but since getting the ER2 I have the confidence that I'll make any putt under 20ft that I step up to.

I always believe I'll make every putt I aim at...

I spend hours practicing putting and then get on the course and it's like a sudden case of amnesia.

 

Looking into putting lessons, it's scary how many shots I leave on the course due to poor putting

Best part of my game, probably in line with the chart in the previous post, and feel like it's going in every time, especially if it's a big money putt. Sadly, a similar percentage to my pull hook chances with the long irons...

I tell myself I will make it. I want to make every putt inside 20' and know that self-doubt isn't exactly the best frame of mind on the course.

No, i might get the odd one but I would bet against me making it. 

 

As I find my game improving the lack of consistency i have in my putter is really hurting my scoring .  3 putts are my nemisis

I make a lot more 10 footers for par than I do for birdie.

Nothing easier in golf than an eight footer for triple bogey, LOLZ

10 feet, i miss more than I make, and that's OK with me. The standard for the strokes gained stat on tour is 50% from 8 feet, so from 10 feet the pros should expect to make maybe 40%. I'm not far below that.

Agree. I would probably expect to make about 30ish percent from ten feet. My GIR is trash lately, so I chip into the ten foot range a LOT...

Now I understand why I don't putt particularly well. I STILL don't miss many happy hours. In fact, my normal Friday practice session is for maybe 40 minutes of full swing work, with a beer, followed by a couple more beers.

You & I need to play some golf together. I don't walk much ‘cause it's hard to carry the clubs AND the beer...

Interesting, I know my make % is better going downhill. I always try to die in so I leave a ton of uphill putts just short but online. The downhill helps me get the ball to the hole.

Conversely though my 3 putt % is much worse with the first putt downhill because I can run I it by 5 feet easily.

I definitely make more downhill birdie putts. I tend to be a lag putter and leave way too many uphill putts short.
