Driver: Ping G Series 10.5* with Alta S-Flex

3 wood: Ping G Series Stretch 13* with Alta S-Flex

5 wood: Ping G Series 17.5* with Alta S-Flex

Hybrid: Ping G10 18* with 65g DBS Tour Hybrid Prototype S-Flex

Hybrid 2: Ping G10 24* with 65g DBS Tour Hybrid Prototype S-Flex

5 - PW Irons: Ping S57 with Ping AWT S-Flex

Wedges: Ping Tour-W 54* & 58* with Ping AWT S-Flex

Putter: Odyssey O Works 1W with Superstroke 2.0 XL grip

Cart Bag: Bennington Organizer QO-9

 

All irons and wedges gripped with Lamkin Oversize grips. Woods and hybrids gripped with Ping ID-8 360 Midsize (gold) grips.

 

Typing this makes me think what a Ping fan you must think I am. I suppose it's true, but I have had other clubs in my bag, it just seems a Ping-fest at the moment 🤷🏻‍♂️

Awesome setup! How do you like the stretch?

I really like the mix of older and newer clubs. Great to see older clubs make the bag and stay.

Indeed, tell us more about the 3w Stretch. I understand that Peter Finch games one currently too, but I don't know too much about what makes it different/better than a regular 3w.

Indeed, tell us more about the 3w Stretch. I understand that Peter Finch games one currently too, but I don't know too much about what makes it different/better than a regular 3w.

The Stretch 3 is in the bag because I was looking for a club to use as an alternative off of the tee when I want more accuracy than the driver. I tried the standard 3 wood and didn't find it to my liking. I just couldn't hit it consistently.

 

The Stretch 3 is a bit stronger at 13* (std loft w/o using the +/- 1* of the Ping tip adaptor) compared to 14.5* for the standard 3 wood. It also has a bigger head at 184cc volume compared to 169 for the standard 3 wood.

 

I've got my Stretch 3 set up to 14* and like that bigger head to look down on. It may not sound like much but it makes a big difference to me 😀👌🏼🏌🏼‍♂️🏌🏼‍♂️

 

BTW- it's still fine to use off the fairway too!

Love the Stretch. Only real problem with it is that I hit it a bit too far so it's encroaching on driver distance!

 

The S57's have been ITB for a looong time 😊 I really like them and don't find the modern equivalents to be a significant step up. I think they'll eventually have to be replaced as they'll have worn out!

Mind you I do like the look of the new Ping i210 and i500 irons. They may tempt me to swap 😉

Ping does indeed! I'm lucky that I live about 30 miles from Ping's UK Headquarters so going for a custom fitting is too easy
