kardboard.kid
So I thought it might be a fun to explore the other side of who we are. Even though I am a design engineer that is in the area of creativity, my real passion was art. Mostly charcoal, pastels, and watercolor. So if I weren't who I am, I'd have been another Andy Warhol. PING Apologist #9
If I weren't an electronics technician, I'd probably be an auto mechanic... My Dad ran a foreign car repair shop as our family business and I was totally immersed in it with him all during high school as his helper and apprentice. I even self-funded and rebuilt the engine for my own car (on my own time) when I was just 16. I was a sure bet to be assigned to a motor pool for the Marines, but apparently my ASVAB scores dictated otherwise...So the "Green Machine" in her infinite wisdom decided that I shall go to school to become a 2800 electronics communications technician which I ultimately did (2841), and did well. That has always struck me as weird because while working at the shop on cars that had an electrical bug, I couldn't read a freakin' schematic and always deferred those issues immediately to my Dad... Now I've basically been in some form of electronics communications for over 32 years! At age 50, that's really all I know how to do... While I don't understand I certainly respect the knowledge you have gained through your life's journey. “A better person†is an extremely subjective state of being. For me I wake up everyday wanting to be a little better everyday and certainly not wanting to repeat the sins of the past. Life is not a sprint. It is a marathon without a finish line .
