Ping G410

3putter

Recommended Posts

Why are they being that secretive about Ping G410 line? Or is this normal?

Well, considering that the only places where G410 is mentioned are at WRX and here, I would simply suggest that this is a figment of someone's imagination.

Ping just came out with the G400 line, and now the G700 line.  Not sure why we need another line of Ping G clubs right now.

Here's an honest suggestion; why don't you call PING customer service and ask them directly about this, if you really want to know the truth.  I'm guessing what the response will be already.

Absolutely will be introduced either right around the end of the year or PGA Show.

The G400 line (except for the Max) actually came out in the summer of 2017 so it will be right at the 18 month mark which has been typical for PING.

G700 is a different line for. Different target.

Good info and imo ping is one of the best at identifying who their audience is for each line and to not muddy the waters too much with multiple product lines in the same segment. And like titleist are pretty good at staying consistent with their release schedule

Based on the comments in one of the TXG videos, they weren’t able to improve upon the Max with this new line. It sounded like there won’t be a new one released with these when they come out.

The max is also on a slightly different release cycle than the rest of the g400 line due to it coming out later in the year than the rest

Knowing that ping likes to do a lot of testing before offering shafts I’m hoping now that several shafts have been in the market for several months this year like the new hzrdus and even flow or even the ef blue and black from last year they offer these.

im curious to see if they change materials or the look of the crown

I just played my first full round with the G400 Max and I had one of my best FIR rounds this year: 10/14 (71%)! It’s not as long as the KZG, but it SURE is straighter! I know that Ping isn’t re-doing this one yet, but if they ever beat it, it’s going to be ONE-HECK of a driver!

I have actually held Ping's upcoming offering . I have been sworn to secrecy about the details. I will say that the new offering is like nothing they have done before !! I for one was quite surprised and excited. I wasn't able to hit it or anything, but was given the chance to hold and inspect it .

I have to think it will be movable weights.   But that's just a guess, since PING hasn't done that yet, I believe it was only the last couple years they moved to a adjustable hosel.

Good call, they must be the only major OEM not to have done this and they have the #1 driver used out of contract on tour I believe.

Moveable weights would be a big change for them, especially since they tend to be on the heavier side of head weight and do so much testing with their stock shafts.

im thinking we see different materials and a move away from turbulators.

as for adjustable hoses the current adapter they use I remember being on their stuff as far back as g25 and maybe even g20

G410 is coming soon! replacing the g400 metals and irons.. regarding about g700., it is totally different clubs from g400 so it will stay.

Yep, as mentioned in previous posts,  G410 release should be centered around the PGA Show, and expected to have movable weights for the first time in any PING driver, at least that's my best prediction.

But just to be clear it is not replacing the entire G400 line, the G400 Max will remain.

If I am not mistaken, the Anser driver was Ping's debut with an adjustable hosel, followed very closely by the G25/I25.  The neck was revised in the G30 to the hosel that they are currently using.

Saw a pic last night of the sole on the g410. There was a thumb covering up possible the model name and or mwt near where the shaft is but from what was shown I like what I see and my interest is now peaked.

Me too. Im not one that gets turned off by the crown being busy my issue is more with shape/look of the crown at address. I’m looking forward to seeing what ping is bringing to the table with technology. Turbulators and dragonfly have been around for a bit and Ping rarely disappoints
