Anyone else experienced a change in the emoji bar?  Recently, mine changed and those I use most often are not on the quick pick; requiring I open the show all dialogue box.  It wasn't that way when I first started with the forum.

Yep and I thought it was me because I am not the most computer literate person in the world---- LOL yesterday had to get one of my buds on WRX to type me instructions on how to dump accumulated messages for my PM box. Of course I can read and follow instructions pretty well. Thanks guys you have assured me that maybe sometimes I am not as big of a dumba** as I think I am computer wise

I really ought to use those emoticon things or whatever they're called

so that people can tell when I'm being semi-serious at best

or actually serious.

I just never got into the habit.

[Just reading the above makes me seem pretentious, as if anybody cares if I'm serious! I hope that you know what I mean.]

And Stu, I really am that much of a luddite when it comes to tech.  Hopeless, really,

and no grandchildren to help.

I remember that as a teen, the kids thought I was technology proficient because i could solder together an audio amplifier kit rather than having a "suitcase stereo."  How times have changed.

Personally, I would like to see a few more options.

It's easier to use emojis, IMO, if you learn the symbols you need to type for the few you use most often.

My issue is bigger than the loss of emojis. On my computer All of the options such as text type, bold, etc plus emojis are no longer available, including in the more options screen.

This is going to be embarrassing but I am going to tell it anyhow---- My wife and I were in Wendy's about 6 months ago. They had one of those newfangled drink dispensers. We could not work it-- Well this young lady I would say 9 or 10 years old at the most asked real politely if we were having trouble? I told her sure was. She said let me show you sir. She did I thanked her and told the wife see if you need to do anything really technical ask any pre teen.

You talk about the Amp kit I know exactly what you are talking about. 8th grade shop class we had several options as what we could do for projects. I chose electronics since my uncle was a ham radio nut. I built 3 different radios that year from those Radio Shack kits. In fact my first one was a short wave that could pick up some aircraft transmissions since we were close to the Airport. Actually my shop teacher liked that one and I gave it to him. Built a 10 transistor AM and later on a 12 Transistor AM/FM. Never pursued that field after that. From then on it was motorcycles and fast hot rods

LOL.  I think instructions for cell phones should come with a 9 year old.
