Reesedw 2,466
I love summer golf, but my favorite time for golf is fall.. I love the fact that the courses in the PNW are usually still in great shape, the weather is still great, the courses less crowded, with cheaper greens fees.. and Most of all, the cool crisp air, the dew on the greens.. Heaven.. Am i the only one NOT living in Florida that loves fall golf?? I like it way better than spring golf.. It's absolutely the best time for golf here on the other side of the Cascades as well. Spring is really windy, summer is really hot (but dry), and winter is well... chilly. But fall is beautiful. Temps in the mid 70's and sunny for the next 10 days, probably all month. Getting a little cool at night, but that's great for sleeping!! 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Mr. 82 3,858
Well, I'm in Florida, and I absolutely think fall is the best time of year for golf. About the time the calendar turns to October we finally get a reprieve from 90+ degrees and it's actually semi-comfortable on the course and walking is an option where you won't die sweating out your entire body liquid in 3 holes. 2 Quote G400 Driver XR 4 Fairway 16.5° Fli-Hi Utility Iron - 21° G Series 5-9 irons SM7 46°, 50°, 54° & 58° Ghost Spider S putter Nexus Laser Rangefinder Garmin Approach S20 GPS

GolfSpy MPR 10,164
In addition to the pros already mentioned (best weather, beautiful colorful backdrops), I'd add this: fall rates! This is the time of year I'm willing to stray from my home course and play courses that, during the summer months, cost more than I'm willing to spend on a round. I'd also add one other con to fall golf, in addition to losing balls under leaves: our course sprouts hundreds of golf-ball-sized mushrooms this time of year. So you end up with this sequence: hit ball into field of leaves, hunt for the ball, spot your "ball," realize you got tricked by a stupid mushroom, blow up the mushroom with your club. 5 Quote Epic Flash Sub Zero, 9°, Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI 70 X Mavrik Sub Zero 15°, Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI 70 S F6 5-6W, 18.5°, Fujikura Motore 6.3 XTD Proto dHy 21°, Aldila Green NV Hybrid 105 S 699 Pro, Modus3 105, 5–PW Forged Black 50°, 54°, and 58° Stroke Lab EXO Seven Mini, 34" Z-Star XV Full WITB with pictures
