Driving Iron or Hybrid?

So I got to hit a driving iron yesterday for the first time. I generally play a 3 hybrid and while it is easy to hit it is also easy to pull hook if I'm not careful. One session with a driving iron isn't enough to make a change but I had a hell of a time hitting this thing left at all. Flight was straight to a small cut. Distance difference wasn't really noticeable. I'm a 4 handicap and ball striking isn't really an issue.

 

What are your experiences, comparisons, thoughts?

Im considering getting one just fir Bandon. I have a 2h and 3h I will well but I atill want to try one ti see If I can hit a low penetrating shot.

DRIVER: Cobra F9 10.5  Tensei AV Blue 65g

3W- Callway XR PRO 16 stiff

5W- Alpha- Mitsubishi Diamana  Redboard w/band

Hyrbid- TM 4h mid-rescue

Hybrids are tough for me, same trouble and chronic. I just put the Callaway driving iron (21*)in my bag. Gotta update the signature...

 

It's been great, I can hit it off the deck with no problem, And off the tee it's a safe, straight, & decently long option.
