Password Reset issues, this site is killing me!

This site is killing me.  I really want to make it work, but I run into issue after issues.

 

Now my passwords are never saved and I am constantly having to reset them.  Now when I try to change the temp password, I have to keep logging in and it never lets me change the temp password.  What is up with these issues?

 

For example it is clear that I am able to make this post via the temp password.  

 

When I go to My Settings > Email & Password it ask me to sign in.  Even though I cant get them if I'm not already signed in.  So I sign in again, ant it takes me back to the My Settings page.  Click on Email & Password and repeat the same thing.

 

This site is so poorly managed.  I had issues for the first couple of years with not getting email notification.  Now out of the blue they start coming!! 

 

Does anybody moderating this site have a clue what is wrong!
 

Edit:  So after a number of repeats, it finally lets me reset my password,  Then I log out and in to test

 

And i get a message in the picture below saying i have no permissions, but it is clear that I am logged in, as show at the top and that I can add to this post.

I can either set the password manually to whatever you would like, or set up an easier to type temp password that you can use to manually reset it via the settings tab.

Have you tried deleting cookies and cache?

To be fair, how many users does MGS have and how many have encountered this kind of issue?

How would I know.  I don't have keep or have access to stats about MGS users.  

 

But what I do know is that I don't have any of these kinds of issues with GolfWRX and it seems to be the same forum application.

You don't have to be bitter about it. MGS Directors are trying to help. You can either accept their help & work with them, or go back to that other site. You have been an MGS Member for almost 3 years, yet only have made 25 posts.

Because up until a few weeks ago I wasn't getting any notifications, so no feed back on new threads or my post.

MGS hates Internet Explorer which is my preferred access.

At least the versions of it that I've used.

 

I have Firefox as a secondary access just for MGS.

 

I must admit to having had all kinds of issues with MGS while using Explorer but Firefox cleaned them up.

I use Chrome, don't care for IE either.

Again, let me know if you continue to have password issues.

 

On the notifications all I can think of is the settings on your account.  You can pick and choose which types of notifications you get and how you get them (either just via the forum or also with an email sent).  Just click your name at the top, go to your settings and click the notification link on the left hand side.

 

I know sometimes various email clients will block the emails as spam as well.
