Not sure this is a viable thread or not for different thoughts, but what the heck.

 

Helpful hint..

 

When your rangefinder seems to have trouble finding the pin, yet still “seems” like it's working, replace the battery!

My V4 has been operating poorly for a few months but for some reason I never thought the battery was running low, but it was!

Two days ago on #15 it flat quit. So I got new battery and bam! Works fantastic now.

 

I wish I would have replaced the battery a few months ago when it started having a hard time.

Helpful hint...

 

Next time you're at Costco, buy one of those bundles of yellow micro fiber towels.

You can just “stab” the towel clip thru one of the corners and bam! Clean new towel for dirt cheap.

Save em for a load of laundry, or just chuck it after the round.

Bam!

That's a great idea. The towel I have is way too big (given away at a scramble a few years ago) and is always getting tangled in the legs of the bag or around the wheels off the pull cart

Put your gloves in a zip lock bag after each round. They will stay soft and the leather will last longer.

Amateurs usually miss the breaking putt on the low side. Pros usually miss on the high side.

 

The low side will never fall in...

You can leave to zip lock open to allow some air just after the round but store them in the baggie.

I almost always missed on the high side, but I was still a mediocre putter.

Fortunately, my speed was generally better than my read.

I really needed two putt pars on GIRs because up and downs were not my specialty.

 

Practice your speed. 

Your reads will improve as the season wears on and you've played all the pin locations a few times.

I have my version of that of course expect anything else. I buy some cheap at Dollar General or down here I have several sources I buy motel towels from. Usually in bundles of 20 or so for $4 or $5 depending on whom is selling them. Got a bucket I throw them in in the shop. When the bucket is full I will take them up to the laundromat, My wife would kill me if I put them in our good machine.

Buy some Velcro wire ties and use them to hang your gloves on during hot and humid days, so they will dry faster by hanging them in the cart.

I just hang them on the top brace on the cart. Now some of the newer Club Cars have thick top braces so I will hang them off the straps on my bag maybe hang 1 or 2 off the steering wheel. Yeah I am that guy with 6 or 7 gloves hanging off an old Hoofer bag

After an iron shot, while the dirts still damp, run a sharp tee thru your grooves and finish wiping with your damp towel. Next time you pull that club it's clean and ready to rock

But if there is a lot of break and your speed is off, then you have a downhill slider.  There are some putts where I play to have an uphill second putt.

Many who use a line on their ball for putting may already do this - use the line on the ball on tee shots, too, to align yourself down your aim line.

Always carry a dry pair of socks in your golf bag.

You never know when your shoes waterproofing will fail and there is nothing worse than finishing a round with squishy socks.

Hang your towel inside your brolly on wet days for an (almost) dry towel for hands.
