2019 North West Spy Get together

Recommended Posts

There are a lot of spies here from the North Western States and Canada and I'm thinking of starting an annual (if the interest is there) get together.

I'll start making plans for 2019 if the interest is there.

Thoughts?

I'd be interested, you bet!

You're only allowed to attend if you are willing to play in full catchers' gear....

At least if I were in charge! :P

I don't need a putter, but I'm in... anytime, anywhere within 400 miles.  Just give me a month's notice.

and i'm thinking about golf swag.

i have a Ping putter that i won that i'll donate for a prize.

If this gets going, keep me in the loop. I have a few connections in the biz, and might be able to hook some stuff up.

Damn, you guys are rough! :o Do I have to wear the welding gloves too? :P

Anyhow, sounds like you've gotten some good interest here Hari. Very exciting! Keep us posted and it may be time to start thinking on where this can be done. My first thought/vote would be somewhere like Coeur d'Alene...fairly central and kind of a "destination" spot.

good idea Ping.

I was thinking central as well. draw a big circle and see where the center of it is.

thanks to the others that showed interest.

I'll send out a questionnaire shortly so I can get an idea of everones preferences.

Just from taking a quick look at the Member Map it looks like Apple Tree in Yakima, Washington is a decently central location

Apple Tree is OK.  I've play a couple of pro-ams there.  Depending on who comes from where...  you might want to consider:

Suncadia

Gamble Sands

Spokane

Kalispel Golf and CC (old Spokane CC)

The Creek at Qualchan

Hangman Valley

Circling Raven on south end of Lake Coeur d'Alene

Wine Valley in Walla Walla

If we are looking in this area, I vote Wine Valley.

Let's not rule out central Oregon. The golf in Bend can be amazing in the summer, and there are lots of other things to do after the rounds.

I second Bend! Especially if people are wanting to play more than one round/course. So many quality courses
