Mr. 82
We're on the far eastern fringe of this storm and we've had a few bands come through with some gusts and some strong rain, but at this point it's nothing worse that any typical thunderstorm. I was just watching some channel and they were broadcasting from the Bay Point Sheraton Golf resort and it looked pretty brutal. Those are some really nice golf courses right across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. Well, they WERE really nice golf courses. I'm supposed to play golf in Navarre, FL on Monday, which is just east of Pensacola, right near the Gulf. Not holding my breath on that happening at this time. alfriday101
My wife is at our place in Destin. She says it's not that bad there. A lot of pine needles down in the yard, but no problem with the trees. No damage in our immediate area. We're a block back from the beach. Tv went out a few times, but electricity stayed on. Rain should end in the next hour or so. It looks like PCB and areas to the east got hammered.

Mr. 82
Over 90% of Tallahassee is without power. Panama City is completely destroyed. There are a few businesses reopening, but we’ll be spending a 2nd night in the dark here. The saving grace in this is that the house is fine and the weather is turning cooler as I type this. I have a video I took during the storm that doesn’t do the intensity of this storm justice, as we were well to the east of the center. But when I heard the wind, it sounded like a freight train when the gusts were higher. Imagine that intensity for hours if you were near the center.
