So, looks to be mostly sunny with a high of 62* and JLukes is only a 4 cap with his current cap on the course. Hrmm... unfamiliar place likely adds a couple of strokes, as does tightenness, plus haven't been playing super great.

Good luck - I have a friend who is a 9 that played there a couple of summers ago. According to our moral code I can’t post what he said about his round here.

Translating his words into a more civil tone you may wish to work on your recovery shots from the waste area and punch outs from pine needles under the trees.

I have a good friend who is a 1 handicap who has played there 2x’s both times scores in the 80’s. Said it was absolutely beautifully difficult. Enjoy not everyday you get to play there.

Pine Valley would have eaten me up and spat me out.

I'd like to think that I'd take it like a man and be appreciative of the chance to play such a magnificent and storied venue.

I can't be entirely sure that I could take a pasting like that with a smile, though.

Flattering courses were always my favorite.

The golf course was a respite from facing daunting challenges in real life.

But Pine Valley--wow.   Certainly one of the greatest golf venues in the universe.

I heard a guy on PGA Radio today they had played all Top 100 courses in one year. He said Pine Valley was pretty open off the tee. But the hardest 2nd shot course he has ever played.

In 24 hours I will be making my way down to beautiful Pine Valley, NJ.

 

Going to be a beautiful fall morning.  Around 50* at tee off and mostly sunny with winds around 10MPH out of the West.

We have a tie on the score! Going to have to break out my scorecard and look at the tiebreakers.

Course was everything I thought it would be and then some.

Wind blew a lot harder than initially forecasted. 25mph made an already tough course very challenging.
