Michelle Wie - is she ever NOT injured?

I admit to not following women's golf closely, if at all, and maybe it's because I don't pay close enough attention to it, that this comment may not make much sense, but to me it seems like every time you turn around, Michelle Wie has some sort of injury or something going on that she has an excuse for why she is not playing well.

Again, I'm not following women's golf closely enough, mostly because I don't really care much for it, but Michelle Wie always seems to be injured.

She's had issues with that hand for a long time now. Keeps trying to rush back and go the non-surgery route. Glad she finally went through with it and hope for a full recovery. Living in pain is not cool

Some athletes just seem more injury prone that others.  It could be that her height and swing mechanics creates a lot of stress on the various hinge points.  Plus,  I can't help but think a full size putter would go a long way towards helping.  This hurts my back just looking at it...ouch!

It's not for everyone. I get it. I don't watch much if any women sports expect golf.

I actually enjoy watching the women play. There's a lot of great ball strikers playing on the LPGA. There's times in fact when I prefer watching them as opposed to the 3 club tour.

My only regret is not being able to swing as smoothly and with such great tempo as they do.

I enjoy watching LPGA both on tv and live. But I'm definitely not one of her fans. She seems more committed to modeling and other PR type events rather than golf. While she started out strong it fizzled quickly.

"3 Club Tour", that's a good one.  I attended an LPGA Tour event in Oregon and I must say, they are really impressive golfers.  I felt completely emasculated all the way home to WA.

Hard not to root for Danielle Kang. However she does need to prove she can be consistently at the top of the leaderboard.

If I could include a group it would definitely be Lincicome, Thompson and the Korda sisters.

Tough question but I guess it'd have to be Thompson. Even though she's run into some issues over the past year I believe she'll be back with a vengeance.

Are you saying 2 major wins? Iirc it’s only 1 major win and the latest win was a regular tour stop. She’s played in 6 majors total iirc

I stand corrected: KPMG was the major in 2017, and her recent was just the tour stop. Thanks for the correction.

Sure thing. Just making sure I didn’t miss something in your post. I’m a Kang fan as well plus lexi.  But really enjoy watching lpga in general and have several I like watching play

I really like watching the LPGA as well - it resembles our game much more than PGA. I saw that Kang withdrew from Swinging Skirts -after R-1. With a +2 probably a big letdown from the win the previous week.

Didn’t realize she WD. I did see the other day she has been working with Butch and that started shortly before her recent win.

Yeah not sure what happened - I was going through the players and found at the bottom with a WD after first round.
