It was a really close result, with both twheat and Mulligan Marz winning 15 of the 21 bets, but twheat correctly picked one of the longer shots for the difference.

Prop Bets are the great unknown in the world of sports betting.  They add a great layer of fun to the equation in any major sporting event .  Whether talking about the Super Bowl coin flip or the duration of the National Anthem, there's a certain element of randomness that plays a fun factor.

Degenerate gamblers will put real money on the line for these items but YOU get the opportunity to win some MGS swag at no risk.  Winners will be determined by total "winnings" at the conclusion of the match.

• Choose your selections in the poll for this post

  • Assume $100 bet on each item
  • Using American Odds (see below or in poll)
• Deadline at 1200 EST on Black Friday November 23
  • Tee Time is at 3PM EST. 

 

 

If you're unfamiliar with the American Odds rules, here's a brief description:

Use American odds. Next to every decimal odds number is either a positive or negative number in parentheses. If the number is positive, this is how much much money you will make on a standard $100 bet. For example, American odds are (+170) for the money spread on the Miami Marlins this week. This means that for every 100 bitcoin stake, you will receive $170 back. If you put up $10 as your stake, you will get $17 bitcoins back.

• The great thing about American odds is that you get your initial stake back. So if you bet $1, and receive $2 as your winnings, you will get $3 back in total.
• If the American odds number is negative, this is how much you have to produce as your initial stake in order to get $100 back. So if the odds are (-105) you will have to produce at least $105 as your initial stake in order to get $100 back.

This is pretty cool contest.  Almost enough to make me pay the $19.99 to watch the match but my Hawks will be playing for the Heroes Trophy against Nebraska and that my friends is the whole reason I took Friday off!  Go Tiger and Go Hawks!
