I absolutely love the black/yellow combo! So much so that I am starting to unload some extras to help soften the $500 blow to the wallet.

I wonder how much influence Fowler had on the design and/or color scheme?  As the F series rolls on, Cobra looks to be incrementally reducing the amount of titanium and increasing the amount of composite matrix used.  The engineering and manufacturing prowess that goes into modern golf equipment is pretty fascinating.

I’ll stick with my Cobra F8 in Black and Nardo Grey.....but the new F9 looks sexy.

Very eager to see how this performs in testing.

I've been planning for a club fitting before next season and am hoping this makes the short list to try when I go.

I have a feeling that if/when that test hits (whether part of Cobra Connect Challenge 3, or not), the response will be huge. I think the F9 is beautiful and would love to give it a test!

I'm pretty intrigued to try this driver every club ever.

Fixed that for you 😄

On a more serious note, I wish Cobra had demo days here. Seems like if there is a rep in Hawaii, they're never at the multi-vendor demo days that I've gone to the last two summers, and I never see them advertised doing their own.

LOL...Guess I opened myself up to that one.   But hey I've been pretty good of late.   Only one club purchase since June that is the Odyssey Red Ball putter, the Bridgestone's as you know were a forum review.

But 2019 is within eye sight 😁

That's cause you bought everything in May, right?

Technically February through May, but who's keeping track.

But back to this driver, so was anyone more swayed after seeing Bryce and Rickie's performance this weekend, or didn't have any affect anyway.

I know "we" as avid forum readers aren't usually swayed too much by tour use.  But I can tell you the average Joe consumer who really only gets his or her exposure to equipment from TV and the major magazines, definitely is based on the comments we here in the pro shop.

Not in the least. I don't have Bryson's or Rickie's swing so....

But of course, you knew that already.

To me, it will be more important to see how it does in the hands of "regular Joe's" when the most wanted testing rolls around.

Like @MaxEntropy said, I don't really care what pros are playing, otherwise I'd have an identical bag to Tiger's because I'm a fanboi. I've been intrigued by Cobra's drivers since the Cobra Connect challenges the past two years, and @chisag 's writeup of them a while back, but never got a chance to try them out.

It doesn't really matter to me what BD or Rickie play. They could make a Walmart driver look like a magic wand. That being said, I sure love the look, and I'll be hitting them, along with the rest of the 2019 drivers in the spring.

I could see the average consumer being swayed by them. I really think that Cobra has the 2 of the best players under contract for marketing so I think they will continue to grow their market segment.

Hello all. I've been helping my wife get fit for a driver this year, it has been an interesting experience. But one that I think could benefit many others as well. Her driver swing speed is normally about 70mph, trying to find a driver that has enough loft for her to get better numbers than just hitting a 3 wood has been hard.

But today we found an incredible winner, and massive value. A driver that many of you have probably read up on or watched Rick Shiels gush over. The Cobra F9.
Why was this club so amazing for her? Well, a couple reasons. First, she is 5'1", and with her swing speed, loft and backspin are huge helps. Cobra offers the F9 with a head that goes up to 14* of loft, that was 2 more degrees than her previous game. That got her launch angle up and increased her spin for 30 more yards of carry. The second reason and why this club is a massive value. The Cobra Jr program.
We got her the Jr's version of the F9. Same exact head(only available in the 12.5 loft head), but comes with a junior length and flex shaft. Which as it turns out, is basically prefect for her height and swing speed. The real icing on the cake is that for the next 2 years, if she ever wants a new shaft cobra will give a free 1 time upgrade to any shaft in their stock lineup. Their thinking is a junior golfer will increase club speed over two years and will need a new shaft, so they include one. So if she does want a new shaft of full length, she gets one for free.
To top it all off... It is $100 less than their current list price of the regular F9. $349.00, all day every day.
So if you are looking for a driver that has a loft setting up to 14, don't buy the regular F9, buy the Jr version and use your free shaft upgrade.
This is amazing in my book. That is basically $200 less than most of the other offerings out there.

How do you improve on a line of drivers that had a member of the family win the coveted Most Wanted Driver in 2018?  That's certainly a tough task for any group of engineers.  But the really smart guys in the lab coats in the rooms where nobody is allowed to go in Phoenix are betting they have done just that.   And they have gone into uncharted waters to do so.
PING has been if not the last , then most certainly the last major equipment company to produce a driver with movable weights.   For years PING has stated that it had enough technology built into each version of it's drivers that you need not worry about unscrewing plugs, or sliding bars, or inserting cogs etc.   They had done all the work for you and the driver would work just fine, and they did thank you very much.
Well take a close look at the rear of the new G410 Plus pictured below.  You'll see three possible ports for a movable weight, center for neutral, on the heel for draw bias and out on the toe for fade bias.   People have finally gotten what they have clamored for.
And for those who prefer a driver with a bit of a draw bias and don't need to change if from that, well PING hasn't forgotten you, as it made the G410 SFT--Straight Flight Technology--and it otherwise has all the same technology.

Will this movable technology along with all the hosel adjustment that can moved into eight different configurations make one of the best drivers on the market year in and year out even better?
Well we're going to leave it to four dedicated and trustworthy and oh alright, it's OK to say-- LUCKY as well-- members of the My Golf Spy forum to test, play, review--and keep-- these drivers.  The members of the forum will anxiously be awaiting the results.
The testers will be getting these drivers pretty much the same time they will be hitting retail shelf's, so you will be among the very first consumers on the course with these incredible looking drivers.

      HOW TO APPLY:
in this thread - and ONLY in this thread - tell us the following:

      1. Your first name and home state or province. -US and CN eligible.
      2. Your current handicap and driver swing speed
      3. Your current driver
      4. List whether you would like to review the G410 Plus or G410 SFT
      Pretty straightforward!

Good luck, and we'll be announcing the testers in this forum early next week!

WE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE!

      Congrats to the following testers:
      @jlukes @fixyurdivot @tony@CIC @PING Apologist #9
