808nation
That "yellow" F9 is absolutely sick! BUT, I can't afford it if it's $500. Bag: Cobra Ultralite Cart Bag(Peacoat/Silver).I understand that's what he said, but that's either because he misspoke or he was incredibly ill fitted to his previous driver.See Tony's article on the blog for the actual information"To validate the aerodynamic properties of the new driver, Cobra did some robot testing against the competitive set. It added mass where needed to ensure all drivers were the same weight and used the same shaft in every head. Under the same force, the KING F9 SPEEDBACK was a bit faster than M4, faster still than G400, and about 1.5 MPH faster than the Callaway Rogue. Mind you, this test was force equivalent to 120 MPH of head speed, so the differences are more pronounced than the average golfer should reasonably expect. NiftyNiblick
Lot of low spin stuff on the driver market. Adds yards for the better players. Reduces both carry and accuracy for more typical players. There are, in my opinion, a lot of players out there carrying two or three extra points on their indexes because they have such a superficial understanding of equipment. And the players who don't have indexes are even more likely to bag inappropriate clubs. Fitting doesn't necessarily correct that. Most fitters aren't Class A PGA teaching professionals. They're primarily salesmen who won't tell you too much of what you don't want to hear. They'll show you the speed 45½" of shaft gives you without comparing mishits to 43" of shaft. I won't argue that there are a lot of low spin drivers on the market, but there are just as many higher spin models out there. The Cobra F-Max, Epic Star, G400 Max just to name a few. Low spin drivers today aren’t the sldr low spin type and you can manipulate launch and spin with any of the drivers out today with loft. Unfortunately most recreational golfers(mainly males) won’t play a driver that says 12* or higher due to their ego. Last year I let a buddy hit my 11* driver at the time and he just crushed it. He then proceeded to look at the loft and said it had to much loft for him. He needed 8* or lower and I just laughed at him. When we went up to the balls he was 30yds longer with my driver. He looked at me and goes, “just imagine how far I would have hit it if it was 8*!”Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy GB13, MattF, Sluggo42 and 2 others 5 Quote What is in my Sun Mountain C-130 bag Driver: G430 LST 9*(set at big minus) with a BGT Brava X shaft @ 45.25” Fairway: F85 3 wood with a XPhplexx Agera X @ 42.5” F85 5 wood with a UST Elements Chrome 7F5 @ 41.5" Driving Iron: Rapture 2-Iron Irons: ZX5 4-PW with Modus 105S Wedge: Zipcore 50* bent to 48* Putter: SIK Jo slant neck @ 33”
