Hey All!

Lurked for a little while but decided why not join in on some conversation. 

 

A little about me, started playing a few years ago with some hand me down clubs and got bit the bug hard. Since then Ive upgraded clubs and went the one-length route which has been enjoyable and now its almost weekly playing and sometimes twice a week. Handicap has been cut in half over the couple years of playing. Still working on a few things to get my game better and into the single digit handicap. Big equipment junky which is probably bad but I'm very interested in getting fit for equipment now instead of buying equipment to fit me. 

Looking forward to engaging with you all and who knows, maybe playing with some of you if you're ever in Vegas!

I try to play all over. Depends on the time of year. I've played most courses that are public and within reason price wise. Las Vegas National, Chimera Golf Club, Boulder Creek, Bear's Best, Sienna Golf Club, Etc. Theres so many here which makes it great and all unique in their own way. From open courses with only desert only surrounding it to house lined courses that are super tight. Beauty of golf really.

I really want to get out to Paiute Golf courses though. Those I hear are some of the best in the area (public courses) that I keep hearing about.

I've enjoyed them a lot. I have the F7 one lengths so the newer F8 and F9 which have improvements over the first generation I bet.  The one length I love most though is the hybrid. It's become such a great utility club. I can use it for full shots from 200-215 yards. Punch shots to get more ball speed, big draws around corners, trees, etc. I bought them with out getting fit though so I imagine they could be even better but we'll see what I end up when I do decide to get fit. I was hitting an Apex MB a couple weeks ago while warming up for a driver fitting and it felt so pure. So thinking about an iron fitting gets me excited.

Thanks! I was actually in Michigan over the summer for a golf trip up to Boyne! Some great golf up there and all the breweries are a plus. haha

Thanks! Vegas is great and theres something for everyone here. Gambling, entertainment, golf, outdoor activities, incredible food, etc. Also, warmer winters than where you live haha

I was just in Vegas this week.  Great time.  Both work and play.  Meetings on Tuesday morning and ended up heading to Las Vegas Golf Club, nothing special but after 1pm it was $15 for 18 walking.  Sign me up!  I then played Paiute on Wednesday.  Sun Course.  Great shape and a good track.  Wolf course had a tourney or would have played there.  Definitely worth trying.  Next trip I need a full day to get up to Wolf Creek.

I just shot my best round of 76 at Vegas Golf Club. For a cheap muni course it's not bad at all. I think one of these days my buddies and I are spending a full day at Paiute to play 36. 

 

Wolf Creek is a must. I played it over the summer. Did a weekend trip to Mesquite over the summer. Played Wolf Creek one day and Falcon Ridge the next. Wolf Creek is obviously what everyone goes for but I really enjoy Falcon Ridge. Played it twice now.

 

Hows golf in Denver? Thats one place I havent been yet for anything and have been wanting to go. The girlfriend has family there so she can hang with them while I get out and play a round. haha

Welcome, Patrick.

Vegas was my favorite vacation destination in days gone by.

My age group is no longer their target demographic, unfortunately.

The symbolic transition from neon to LEDs was like a sign that it's a new generation's turn.

Different lights for different generations, I guess.
