PMookie
Dagnabbit Mookie- go hit those things and tell us how it was!!Alright. So I hit every iron at least 6-7 times, starting with PW. This was the first time I’ve been at the range in over a month, so the swing wasn’t great. The wind was blowing pretty good, right to left, and with the way the clouds were, potential rain, I couldn’t see the balls that well to start. PW. Right off the bat I saw the height off these, but it wasn’t ballooning! Strong, high flight. The first pin I shot was 132, and the wind was quartering, kind of into me. My previous PW went right at 135, and these are a degree stronger, so I figured I’d be a little short due to the wind. Nope. Went right over the green! Looked to be landing about 5 yards past! Dang!!! One thing I noticed is they cut my PW too short! It’s at least 1/4” too short... Awesome. They’re ordering me another one.Moved to 7 iron, and I saw less height, but still a strong flight, really holding steady against the wind with no ballooning! I’m getting happy at this point. I caught two in-a-row PURE, ball mark dead center, and these just WENT! Moved through the rest of the clubs and they all performed nicely! I struggled a bit with the 5 iron and started leaving them out to the right, but it was the last one I hit, and I was getting a little worn out. It’s going to take me awhile to figure out the yardages since they’re longer than the loft equivalent in my Ping i210s, and MP-18 SCs! High flight like I saw in the fitting, and VERY forgiving. In all honesty, what offset there is isn’t really noticeable at address, and it’s not that much more than the SCs. Nope, they don’t feel as good on mishits as the SCs, but that’s expected. The sound/feel when flushed is REALLY good for cast! Again, what I noticed in the fitting.I’m praying I can get home tomorrow and get 9 in JUST to get some yardages. I may have to wait until midweek, but maybe not. After round 1 with not the best swing, these show a LOT of promise. They did what I expected!!! If y’all get a chance to hit them outside at a demo day or a fitting, you’ll see what I mean about the flight being “strong”! jayjay0808
Played two rounds this weekend with the 919 Tours. And wow, I have never felt so comfortable with a new set of irons in hand. This may be due to the fact I did play the 900 Tours for a season. I did notice that the 919 Tours didn't balloon or over spin in the air. They have given me approximately 5 more yards carry vs. the 900 Tours. I can't attribute that all to the head design as I went from the Project X LZ 6.5 to Nippon Modus Tour 120 XS and on any launch monitor I hit them prior to ordering the spin was about 400-500 less per club. PMookie
Played a full 18 tonight after work with the sole purpose of trying to figure out my distances with the HM Pros. The wind was blowing a full club, so it made it tougher. They seem to be a full club longer, or a LITTLE longer loft-to-loft. A couple times I hit the PW over 140, which leaves me a big game between that and my 50*, but we’ll see for sure. I’ll tell you what, though, even though they aren’t forged, they feel/sound REALLY good on flushed shots!A few shots stood out: I had 196 to the center of the green on 18 with a 1/2 club wind behind me at that point.... 7 iron landed on about 3 paces shy of center. 193 with the wind. Good gracious. I hit 4 iron five yards short of the green from 233 out... Holy cow, these are FUN!!! And, no, I didn’t get rollout on the greens! They come in steeply, and I even backed-up a hammered 9 iron, and once with the PW. soyadude00
I've had my hot metal pros for a little over two weeks and have only hit inside on the simulator (stupid northern Indiana weather), but so far I am loving them. Great numbers and nice tight dispersion. Looks like the weather is going to break here this week, so cant wait to get on the course. Will update after some rounds. PAgolfer2017
Have an indoor golf and training center near my house and decided to stop by today since I was off work. Have had iron sets on my mind, specifically the 919 line, so I scheduled a fitting and stopped by. Hit the Hot Metal Pro, 919 Forged and the p790 against my CF16. I really wanted something to beat them out, but regardless of what we tried, nothing did. Carry and Distance were all within a yard of my set, ball speed was within 1 mph, and launch angles were all consistent, regardless of the shaft we tried. I will say though, the 919 Forged felt fantastic. Lost 5 yards of carry and 5 yards overall compared to the others, but man they might have been the best feeling iron I've ever hit. yungkory and Kanoito 2 Quote Bag: 4.5LS Driver: Stealth 9* w/ Aldila Red 60 Fairway: SIM 15* w/ Diamana 70 Fairway: GBB Heavenwood 19* w/ Fujikura Pro 72 Irons: p790 4-PW w/ C-Taper Lite 110s Wedge: MG3 50 & 54 Wedge: Hi-Toe 60* Putter: Spider X Ball: TP5 PIX

Nice tight baby draw. Excellent trajectory and a nice tight dispersion. About 5 yards longer than more old rsi2's. The 4 iron is still a love/hate relationship but 5 thru gap have been money.
