robbo32
So work is rather slow today so I was looking at tourspecgolf and I always love the look of the Geotech Irons. RookieBlue7
They come out of the same forging house as a few other more popular names. They use open molds so you'll see resemblances to other OEM's. Too notch forgings and good clubs. Cheaper through other avenues than TSG though. RookieBlue7
Ordering direct from GeoTech, they're around $62 a head, so for 3-PW that's right at $500. http://www.geotechgolf.com/ A set of their blades, an older model, will run you $155.67 for 3-PW: http://en.item.rakuten.com/golfoo-arena/10001659/ They're not void of any stampings though, as they have the material stamped on them (303 SS, MB is muscleback), a model and iron # on the sole. I had some of their blades a while back and they're awesome. I want the 670HC's. They're the same heads and are an older version, just stamped SMT. I'd order direct from GeoTech. Why? They're cheaper and TSG rapes you on shipping. Golfmanufaktur
Since I work as a clubmaker in Germany, I have access to Geotech components through geotechgolf.de, wich makes it easier to access and work with these clubs. They do some nice forgings and some pretty cheap cast stuff. While the forgings are good, I prefer Wishon, Vega and Kimura (housebrand of Clubmate Golf). On March, 1st I will start my job as the Sales Director at Clubmate Golf in Germany, wich makes it even more interesting to develop a brand like Kimura for the European market. Right now, the line is relatively small. We do have a forged cavity back with a small undercut, a cast design in the SGI section and a wedge design in two finishes. March 2011, we will launch another iron design, wich is more of a player cavity back and it was really interesting to be involved in the development and product testing. Woods will probably follow later this year or for the 2012 season. Sorry, if that sounded like an ad - I'm just proud of the things we alread achieved in such a small market. Golfmanufaktur
Hi Tim, right now, Kimura is a brand, that we distribute in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and some other European countries. The new iron design is not yet shown on our webshop. You can get the stuff at shop.clubmategolf.com. And right now, we are working on a complete new line of golf clubs with a well known designer. As soon, as I have some prototypes I will shoot you a private message and see, if what we do is interesting for you and the GolfSpy-community. New Oversize iron for beginner and mid handicapper. Strong perimeter weighting offers very good forgiveness because of the big Cavity. A broad completely chamfered sole edge produce a nice playabillity. The deep center of gravity stands for a rapidly rising ball flight.
