Thanks to golf my family has options to work with the last few years. I’m not one that can easily give gift ideas for myself so when anyone asks, it’s has been a struggle.
However, yet again my wife and kids did a great job. I try to put the focus on them and not me but my wife always spoils me. Got a PuttOut putting trainer, new Callaway hat, and Callaway GPSy rangefinder watch.
Parents and my sister also got me gifts cards to GG and TopGolf and a case of ProV1s .

Now that the fog of Christmas has dissipated I needed to update the post above. Somehow it slipped my mind that my daughter got me two nice golf shirts. She does embroidery for business and personal reasons. She has a semi-commercial machine that can do incredible work and she is a master of it. My initials are on the sleeves. Me and the SIL also went out and played Lions Municipal in Austin. It's a fun - historic track. Hopefully it will be saved as it's under immense pressure to be destroyed and redeveloped.

As some of you might know I'm in process of launching a First Tee chapter. For the past several months I've been collecting kids golf clubs. I must have over 20 sets now. Mostly US Kids brand. I gave one of them to my 5.5 yo granddaughter, It's a cute little pink bag with 4 clubs. I'd reckon it had been played once or twice. Essentially brand new. My son-in-law was an inaugural member of the The First Tee of Houston when TFT launched nationwide back in 1997. He showed me a photo album he had with many pros of the time. He also had a newspaper clipping from 1997 of himself with, Geo. H.W. Bush, and Earl Woods as they launched TFT in Houston. Pretty cool.

The last golf related gifts I can remember were all books.  That was several years ago.  I do miss living in an area where it's possible to play "holiday golf".  We used to have a family tradition of playing every Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year.  Difficult to do in freezing temperatures. 

Looking forward to the day when that is possible again!

I got mix and match shorts and shirts - not all this bold but I intend to use a gift card that I got to pick up a pair of shoes and socks to match.

 

And I did a SuperSpeed workout while the roast was in the oven if that counts. :)

Got a little thing called Desktop Golf from my sister. My mom stayed at the Broadmoor for a librarian conference and got me a marker, hat, and scorecard holder. 

I don't normally ask for golf equipment because my family knows I'm picky. If I get any type of golf equipment it's usually in the form of cash so I can buy what I want.

Oh my gosh!! I got a BirdieBall putting green box with a yoga mat, snorkeling flippers and a pic of Snoop Dog inside.
Payback for sneaking in some practice time before Christmas.

There was another box in a size that I thought could have been shot scope v2, but alas, it was a stuffed hamburger press.

I knew the putting green wasn’t in the box because I found it hiding some of my wife’s birthday presents. But the snoop dog photo was pretty good. Wasn’t expecting that in there.

Now that Christmas has all settled I can say it was a laid back golf Christmas this year. Golf balls, a few shirts/jackets and a gift card to the local shop which will be used this week I'm sure!

Also got a couple decks of cards with gold trivia on them, which could be entertaining. 

Oh and SAXX, so a good haul over all I'd say!!

i have the driver cover and putter cover as well. I use the putter cover but had recently purchased a driver cover so the MGS goes to the collection
