React To This! Would you play a White Ferrule (or any color besides black)

Recommended Posts

White ferrules are our #2 most popular color right now and demand for them has increased about 10 fold this past year.

Then the most popular colors in order for 2010:

#3 Pink

#4 Red

#5 Yellow

does it make the club better?

I don't think I would invest in a product just for the color without some added function to the OEM.

Either way you need to get ferrules...at pennies a piece, it's not a major investment.

Foz - a cars paint does not make it go faster or handle better but we still drive around in cars that aren't bare metal

I like the white but I'm a fan of matching the ferrules to the grips or graphics anyways so it's not hard to convince me.

Foz: Maybe I'm alone here but the flashier my clubs get, the more confident I am standing over them. So yes, funky ferrules, grips, paint fills or shaft coatings does increase performance. Sort of like if you made your clubs look like Fowlers wardrobe, but less orange (Tropicana really needs to take a sponsorship with him)

Next time around (probably when it's time for new grips), I'd like to get to the point where the grips match the ferrules and every club has a different color.

We always match the Ferrules to the shaft because if you match them to the grip, and change grip color you'll need to take apart the clubs to get a matching ferrule.

Whereas, if you change the shaft, you gotta change the ferrule anyway.

I like to just put white grips on and make sure the ferrule has a matching ring. I have red with black and silver ringed ferrules on my MP-37's and red Golf Pride BCT Cords. I still like the white grips and lime better.
