Contact "banistr" for more information. http://primetimegolf.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=19359 My friends at ADAMS surprised me yesterday with this VERY "LIMITED EDITION" set of Adams "Custom Milled" DAMASCUS putters. Also. when I say "Limited", I mean these will be the only putters that get released to the public for resale. There were a VERY small run that was made for various employees of Adams and had their name stamped on the soles and also a set made for a few select members at an exclusive country club here in Dallas. I received 4 putters...each numbered and stamped w/ matching head cover and shaft band. Jondagcl
Those are unbelievable. Is this a way for Adams to test the waters in the high end putter market. Or truly just a one off thing? Almost looks like wood grain on them, wow!

RookieBlue7
Too much impact force for a damascus iron set. I want the centershafted model. These won't be retail. Course Gene Nead makes a damascus as does Tom Slighter. Don't know if LaMont does. Manavs
what would the msrp be on one of those babies? can you imagine? i assume that the blocks of steel they purchased to mill into putters cost a premium, and the upcharge would be fierce. Knowing nothing about mfgt costs - i start my msrp guess range would be $500-$750, considering adams sells a $30 wedge at retail, this really puts them at both ends of the marketplace Staffer Staffer www.MANAVIANGolf.com

banistr
The thing with damascus is: 1) Its hard to make...which makes it about 3X more expensive to buy raw than normal carbon steel 2) Its hard to find someone that makes quality damascus. 3) No really likes messing with it because of #1 and #2 above. Also just an FYI...Cameron's first damascus putter brought in a supposedly $40K and Tad Moores original damascus sold in the $8K rnage (twice) Byron's 1/10's have brought in prices in the $2-3K range.
