Adam's Purchase of YES! Golf

We spoke about the auction of YES! Golf a couple weeks ago and now the auction has ended...with Adams Golf being the new owner. They got them for a hellova deal if you ask me.

 

Price Tag = $1.5 Million

Wow, I didn't see this coming. It makes sense though. As Adams continues to increase there presense on tour and to the mainstream market the acquisition of a major respected putter line fits right in.

 

So where does the YES! name go from here. Will be renamed Adams, or will it look like a Scotty deal where it's a YES! Putter made for Adams.

 

And 1.5 million is an incredible deal!

Yes! I've been waiting for Adams to put a good putter series on the scene. This might just put Adams on the next level.

They would not have purchased the company if it were not for the patents and other IP. The remaining product was worth nothing. It really came down to the name and patents that were worth anything in this deal. So I would have to think that they keep it. Might try some additional things but I assume for the time being they continue with similar models.

Incredible price, great move from Adams looking forward to the 2011 Tour season. I think it will also offer Tour players an association with Adams all for the incredible price of $1.5!

Picked up a Yes! Mollie on craigslist today for $60 (score!) and it is fantastic. Feel and balance are as good as any fancy putter I have rolled.
