My 2019 Tournaments Follow Along

Recommended Posts

Interesting. Can you provide a little background? What types of tournaments are these? What is your age? Tell us a little about yourself etc.

I'm assuming these are state golf association events.

Thanks.

I will be following on here and in person as well.  I've gotta get all my scouting done before the club championship so that I can take it from you (Josh) this year.   LMAO!  Only in my wildest dream but we will have a lot of fun this year!

This will be great.  Thanks for doing it.  Of course you know my first question ?

Will the G700's be starting the year in the bag.  Or were they just a very good run in 2018 and time to go back to something else.

I'm sure you probably have a WITB planned for each tournament.

I will be doing a WITB for each event. Though this should not change for the year once we get the bag set. There are some things in the works.

I will also post details about each course and how they were set up that day.

That's a pretty damn good resume there @jacustomgolf!  Good luck in 2019.

I subsequently got to thinking that you're better off being in the winners circle as an amatuer as opposed to (possibly) being at the tail end of those on a PGA tour, barely covering costs.  There was a guy I worked with at Boeing who was a near scratch player, played many tournaments, and won lots of stuff.  When I was looking for my first metal driver, he brought me out to his car, opened the trunk (loaded with gear), and said pick a few to try.  When I said I liked the GBB, he said it's yours! 😀

Good luck and have fun. There was another Spy on here who shared his journey. He played very well last year who I accidentally stumbled upon one day on Instagram as winner of an event.

Make sure to find a good caddy to keep you loose and focused. Best to you this year

Love seeing that schedule come together.  It's an impressive list to be sure.  Well you're starting out with some good gear both club and rain wise...So now...just go make some putts!

Well we are getting closer to tournament season here in Illinois.  Entries have closed on the CDGA Mid Amateur and there are 58 people at my qualifying site on May 6th.  Tee times should be out next week.  I will update again when those are posted.
