It is an improvement that is for sure, but like you said not a huge change.

Interesting you mentioned that .. I've had those same experiences!

In fact, when I started my GolfTec lessons one of the things the coach mentioned is we have to work on your swing speed and distances .. I told him, I dunno why but I have trouble hitting indoors .. he told me most of the people he sees are the opposite, eg they hit better in the studio....

New 4.0 Beta Version is out to test and should be out soon.  Not any huge updates that will greatly affect play, but still nice to see them working on the software.  Biggest thing I'd like to see as most do is to fix the spin decay which is the issue where the spin remains constant throughout the entire ball flight which is not realistic.

Wanted to ask anyone that currently has TGC 2019?    I currently don't have a powerful enough setup to power the game, but it looks like it would give me the best play for my money.  So many wonderful courses and the graphics look superb.  I know the first bounce issue, but that's not a huge deal to me.  Anything else I need to know.  For my computer, I'm thinking I am getting a nvidia 1660 or higher for GPU.

Good luck finding GPU's these days what with the mining guys and the scalpers snatching everything up. I somehow managed to grab a RTX 3070 on launch day at retail from NewEgg. One of my mentees I am working with through the Tiger Woods Foundation is still waiting on the waiting list for an RTX 3080 for which he signed up on launch day!

You are not wrong about that.  I failed to mention above that I'd be going the laptop route as I need something portable at the moment.  Nearly bought an asus from bestbuy with an RTX 3060, but found a legion 5 with an rtx 2060 that was refurbished with 2 year warranty from Lenovo that was too good of deal to pass up for the specs.  Since I'm not a gamer and will only be running TGC 2019 on it, it should be more than enough for a while, even if there is an update to the game.

Yeah I think those specs should be more than enough to run a golf sim. Have fun!

There's new software in the works for SkyTrak, version 4.0 is still in BETA, but you can download it.  I'm using it now and haven't had any issues.  Best part is if you don't like it, just put your current version back on it.
