ole gray 17,874
I did 100 pushups at my gym today! Not all at one time yet however I did five sets of 20 military style. I'm puffing out my chest like a stud bull in a pretty little heifers pen. I usually do 60 during my gym visits (four times per week ) however today I decided to bump it up to 80. I was doing my cool down stretches and thought, no way am I leaving without knocking out 20 more! I'll be 69 years old this November so the old man is still humping it. tony@CIC 22,684
OG you're spot on - I think the older one gets the more important it becomes. I see so many guys my age (72) that struggle with balance, and even simple exercise such as walking at a reasonable pace. I know I can do more push-ups today than I could do at 60. Big money 1,953
Great job Ole Grey. I did 80 myself today at the gym this morning. Four sets of 20, getting nice and low and slow. My damn shoulder gets me off of the 100 a day challenge. So I’m doing 80-100 3x times a week. For strength and core building. Push ups are really the ultimate. And adding in planks and pull ups ( if we can do them ) are one heck of a work out. I do believe a 100 a day for maybe 3-6 months would show some huge body changes in all of us 2 Quote Keep it in the short stuff

Yea there are so many seniors who give up on their health when they get older where I see it as you need to step it up. I notice that every time this gets revived how bad I am at keeping a routine. It’s almost time for a whole new year of push ups, and I didn’t complete this one... time flies.

So maybe the 3rd time is a charm and I will continue. I started back into my routine yesterday and expect to have the big guns ready for spring golf. Hooah! @ole gray I'm pretty proud of myself with the new exercise routine I put in place this past December. In addition to the workouts which I alternate every other day. I'm doing 50 push-ups and 50 sit-ups each in the morning and late afternoon workouts so that equals 100 each every other day. At 73, I feel better than I did at 50 or 60. Now let's see how that translates to improved swing speed 3 Quote Left Hand orientation SIM 2 D Max with Fujikura Air Speeder Shaft Cobra King F-9 5 wood 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter NX9-HD - 4 Wheel - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Snell MTB-X And Vice Pro Plus 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300
