He tried the Cortex, but opted to keep his Ping G400 in the bag for now.  Interesting

Wilson needs that switch to happen more than anything right now

9 club deal with incentives to add clubs throughout the contract. It’s a good signing for Wilson Staff. I always liked Woodland because he was a Folds of Honor sponsor.

While Wilson has some good players that show up once in awhile, they needed a player that is more consistent on tour.  I like Woodland; I hope he does well with the change.

Not surprising. The g400 is a top tier driver. Not sure if any of their staff have the cortex in play. If they do Wilson is doing a terrible job promoting your usage of it.

I don’t see this as a big deal signing. He has 3 pga wins and for most of the year he disappears on tour. Imo it’s kind of a draw with losing Troy Merritt and signing Woodland

Its a solid signing for Wilson but it isn't the superstar they need. I'm not surprised Woodland isn't playing the Cortex, the G400 is arguably the best driver on the market. I like Woodland and hope it works out well for him.

I really like Woodland... especially his stinger, that trajectory is 🤤

I'll be really interested to see the new irons and if the Cortex makes its way into the bag

He’s playing the new blades. Jonathan Wall has a tweet about it a few weeks back iirc

It's a 9-club deal that could grow to 10 or more if he adopts more Wilson clubs. He's been practicing with the Cortex, but Tim Clarke says he expects it won't go into the bag yet, as players do like to stay with something familiar off the tee this early in the season. He does fully expect Woodland, and maybe Steele, to put Cortex in the bag this season.  They do think several of their European Tour players will have the Cortex in their bags this season - once we get someone to follow the European Tour for us we can verify 😉

Wilson will officially unveil the final versions of the new blades at the PGA Show, with retail availability in the early Spring.

Thank you for that. I knew he was testing them, just didn't know if they fully made the bag

Will be interesting to see. The triton didn’t last long in their bags.

I read something about them working on wedges for him too, likes a wider sole. That could be fun too. Wilson joining in the fun.

Seem to be doing well for him. I’m sure it’s the operator. But the debut is so far so good.
