Golfspy_CG2
New Ball for 2019. It slots between the e6 and RX models at a $29.99 price point. Some spies tested these in the fall and had a thread on them. Golfspy_CG2
LOL....Companies and their numbering logic is puzzling sometimes isn't it From what I understand the 12 represents twelve years of in person ball fittings and the results of that have all been tied into the technology of this ball. I was thinking maybe it was them taking the best parts of the last 2 iterations of the e6 and adding them together... Golfspy_CG2
Yeah, that's what they afraid most people would think, or twice as good as the e6, something along those lines. However, since they are keeping the e6 in the lineup, but now placed in a more budget to moderate price point of $21. They have to move away from any comparisons to anything e6 related, as they feel it is a tonally new and different ball. But it is definitely the 12 years of ball fitting that goes into the name. Now how good of job they do in getting that message out remains to be seen for sure. Reesedw
Ok, so they ARE keeping the e6 in the line up.. Are they Going to stay like they are now e6 soft and e6 speed, at the lower price point, or are they changing the ball all together?? @Golfspy_CG2 come on Brother, I love e6 soft, butt if it's being changed all together, is the e12 comparable??? I know you have played them both.. I know you have played them both.. Ha...Haven't hit them both. Matter of fact I've hit very few balls the past couple months, and only chipped and putted with the new e12 no on course experience with it. So the new e6 will go back to being a 2 piece ball, with a softer core but potentially more distance due to the two piece construction. The e12 will be available in both soft and speed, but it's a totally different construction than any ball before. It's the first time they have taken some of the tire materials that Bridgestone engineers have used before and incorporated them into the golf ball. Both balls e6 and 12 are surlyn covers. aburtonky
So am I the only one dying to try this ball? I have a swing speed hovering around 95 and will die before I spend $45-$50 on a dozen of balls. I liked the e6, but I imagine the e12 Soft will be perfect for my speed. russtopherb
So it's firmer and spins less... aren't those qualities you want in a distance rock, not a $30 ball? Ronoc
I hit the e6 softs 2 years ago. Was interested in trying something new and they were on sale. Not a bad ball overall just not that impressed with them. I’d say they weren’t as soft as Callaway SuperSofts (which I ended up playing more often afterward). I never thought I got the best distance out of them.Oddly enough, if we are talking older models, I recently inherited a random array of e5 and e7 if anyone is interested haha.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Driver - M2 D-Type, 9.5 degrees, (Stiff flex) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grip) 3/4W - King F6 Black 3-4 Wood (Stiff flex) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grip) 4H - Rogue (Stiff flex) (Stock grip) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grip) 4-AW - Steelhead XR Irons (Stiff flex) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grips, 7i with Winn Dri-Tac X Grip) SW - 56* X-Wedge 60* - MD4 Wedge Putter - Odyssey White Hot RX #7 Bag - ORG 14 cart bag

Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I haven't hit the latest version of the Supersoft, but before the e6 was split off into 2 lines, I absolutely picked the Bridgestone over the Cally. The Supersoft was like hitting a rubber bouncy ball you get out of a vending machine in comparison. The e12 Soft intrigues me, but the ball market is saturated with very good to great balls at $30 & under already. Ronoc
The Supersoft was like hitting a rubber bouncy ball you get out of a vending machine in comparison. I don’t disagree with the thoughts on the Supersofts. I got a a few cases as gifts I have been working though over the last year. I get used to them, then randomly hit another ball, when I got back to the SS it’s like hitting a marshmallow.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Driver - M2 D-Type, 9.5 degrees, (Stiff flex) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grip) 3/4W - King F6 Black 3-4 Wood (Stiff flex) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grip) 4H - Rogue (Stiff flex) (Stock grip) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grip) 4-AW - Steelhead XR Irons (Stiff flex) (Golf Pride MCC +4 grips, 7i with Winn Dri-Tac X Grip) SW - 56* X-Wedge 60* - MD4 Wedge Putter - Odyssey White Hot RX #7 Bag - ORG 14 cart bag
