ETA is this week.

 

Never have I tried one of these cancer sticks, BUT having my first kid I think warrants such an event. 

 

Given that I have no smoking experience at all... Which single cigar should I hunt down for this moment?

That's a good choice, and there are a few questions to be asked.  Do you want something smooth that will not have any bite or are you looking for something to knock your socks off?  Lots of good options and will you be the only one celebrating or will you be with a group of family?

Not a cigar smoker, but when I did I loved Philly sweets.......not big or small, brandy and sweet flavour, not strong.

The most expensive cigar I had had me dry wretching after a few draws.........🙄

Congratulations!!  I am not a cigar smoker either, but I had some Cuban cigars when I traveled to Russia for 10 years.  They were very nice!  H.Upmann was great!  Also, Montecristo.

Congrats!  Please let us know when he's born.  I would echo those who are saying go smooth - a mild cigar with a light colored (Connecticut) wrapper.  Rocky Patel Vintage 1993 is a nice, moderately priced, stick that fits this bill.  The aforementioned Romeo and Jullietta is also a great choice.

 

I'm not big on the sweet tasting cigars but some people love them.

I agree on the Connecticut wrapped cigar. For a good cigar that is not going to break the bank try Drew Estates factory cigar in the aforementioned wrapper it's a great smoke that runs 4 bucks per cigar.

Nice choice of cigars - you will love them. I had my first cigar at the birth of a grandchild who is named after me. I love them, in moderation. My love for him knows know limit. He did my SuoerSpeed workout with me yesterday.

You have so much to look forward to and yes it’s better than getting a new driver - it’s also more expensive! :)
