2019 PGA Show-What Do You Want to See or Hear About

So I'm at the show which begins in full today with Demo Day and continues Wed-Fri with the actual show at the convention center. 

Use this thread to let me know what you'd like me to try and get pictures or info on.  I'll do my best. But having several years experience coming, it can get crazy busy and tough to get good access for pics and stuff. 

The demo day is divided into two sessions. AM for media atrmedees to interview and get their content and PGA Members after all it's their show.  

The afternoon is where the retailers and course operators are in.

Adam and the HQ crew are there this morning so keep an eye out on their SM accounts as well.

any info or pics of anything new or revolutionary in the golf aids/training categories. Or items that will make our lives easier on the course whether thats a new push cart, or electric add on to a push cart, add ons to carts, practical bags, cleaning products to make white shoes white again, storage products to make home storage or car boot storage easier and cleaner etc etc

Clubs, shafts and balls all tend to have been 'leaked' to the t'interweb anyway but it's always nice to see a new shiny blade or two from the lesser OEM's if possible.

Kind of curious about the argolf irons. Just to see what they look like. Thoughts on the new Wilson blade after hitting it?

I don’t think they are that comparable in what they are suppose lad to do. I have tried both and they slightly change the feel of the same putter when compared side by side. Stability is designed, based on marketing, to improved and stabilize heavier head putters. Stroke lab seems to be designed to improve overall performance by changing the weight distribution between grip, head, and shaft. If is the whole putter when looking at stroke lab and not just the shaft like stability

To see any difference you would have to compare on the same putter on something like Puttlab, quintic, or similar.

Based on a story I saw KBS is also coming out with a putter specific shaft so putter shafts seem to be a new focus.

Rob, I guess I am asking for more info on the KBS putter shaft too.

Is Bridgestone going to be there with clubs?  Are they planning to bring back their Testdrive program?  In 2017 they told me that it was temporarily suspended.

Are there any new hybrid bags coming-out that have the “kick stand” integrated into the bottom of the bag?

Having just bought a SkyTrak, I'll say this: I'm still stunned at theb price gap in the launch monitor space. There's the very low end (sub-$300) that gets you an OptiShot class device, which, while fun, isn't much for precise data and game improvement.

The next massive step up is the SkyTrak, listing for $2,000, which is probably as accurate as needed for almost any home user (minus club data).

It's the space between these that has to be developed. The obvious candidate is the Mevo. I'm open to correction here, but last I looked, the Mevo doesn't track side spin numbers. That's a massive gap for using it for game improvement in a net, in my estimation.

So this is a long-winded way of saying, while I'm not in the market anymore, I'm still interested in seeing that mid-level market advance.

I'll second that. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff introduced that we never get to see that would be interesting. Clubs - not so much since we can go to our local fitter, pro shop or big box store for those.

Unnnnnh! Wrong! First, Sun Mountain doesn’t have integrated kickstands, thus the reason I’m searching, and secondly.... The Lions bag might have been nice in the 1950’s, back when, you know, they were the champs!

Just got back to the hotel.  Covered a lot of ground today....and I mean physical ground not as in content ground. 

But I spent a lot of time with 

Mizuno- got a few minutes with Chris Voshall which is like striking gold as demand as his time is....especially this week.  

I may not be overstating it to say this could be one of the biggest years in recent memory for Mizuno. 

I'll give a heads-up.  Look for the TXG video shot today with him.  You will learn so much about technology between him and Ian it will make your head spin.   Also watch to the end as there is a huge unveiling that you may have already heard about today. 

PING-Got a great rundown on the new putter technology with the adjustable shaft from one of the clubfitters from HQ. BTW they LOVE MGS there and are so glad to see the valadation if their engineering and hard work.  

Saw the new driver and irons.  Pics to come as they weren't really accessible for viewing as they were mostly on the demo line.  Which had a huge wait to hit.   Definitely more to come ok n them from the show floor. 

Odyssey- as always Sean and Tony Toulon we're very generous with their time.   Got a good explanation of the technology of Stroke Lab and all the Toulon line.  

More on Callaway to come during the show. 

I went in with 95% battery and it died halfway round the loop.  

Most of the video and pics I got early were for things for my job.  But I'll post a few in other posts as they are kinda cool as well. 

Ok more to come later. 

Oh and all the suggestions above duly noted.

Thank you for your hard work! I hear there was a bet going around the OEMs today.... Which OEM would have THEIR club in YOUR bag for the most days of 2019!!! I got my money in early!!!

LOL...I tell you that answer changed about four times throughout the day.  If Titleist had had it's new Black 718's out there, there might have been either a heart attack on the range, or a video of cops chasing a tall bald guy down the highway trying to getaway with 7 irons...LOL

That said, I'm pretty sure i stayed in the mizuno booth well past last call...just staring at everything heavenly and good!

Anything new in the affordable home simulator market?

Aside from the obvious Mizuno hype, I'm not really excited about anything other than the G410 hybrids personally. I like the flat adjustment, maybe I won't hit it left? The closest competitor for my 4i has been a 23* 818H1, but the consistency wasn't there for me at my fitting. It didn't go as left as most hybrids in the past, but it still had a significant bias. It would be hard to game in the wind, and it's usually breezy here.
