What's next, a water hazard in the grass in the bunker? Years ago, no one was going over the water on that line. Now, with all the big hitters on tour, I expect that Weiskopf and Morrish will be taking out those bunkers and running the water on the left all the way to the green. I once had lunch with Weiskopf. If I see him again, I'll ask if that is his plan. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Shankster
Another note. Cobra/Puma needs to get on their game. Pretty sure Taylormade has that queued up a few holes early and hit send before the ball even fell in the cup.Still waiting for the main sponsor to say anything. ‘What are you waiting for?’Your main dude just won a tournament he’s been trying to win for years... get some thing out there. Congrats to Rickie! Sorry I checked out at the end of the Tournament - My wife is big on themed Super Bowl meals and this year it was Tom Turkey (guess who she hates). Of course that might all the last minute stuff starting at 5:30 - I had the tournament on in the other room but had to rely on my sports reporter - Penny - for updates. About a year ago we had a thread about Rickie that was essentially writing him off or certainly saying his popularity outstripped his reputation and that he had under performed. I pointed out that there were any number of golfers who didn't hit their stride until their early 30's including Payne Steward and Phil Mickelson both of whom rose to the top at that point. Payne had a very similar trajectory to Rickie with a series of blown final round leads until he broke through becoming one of the top players in the world into his mid-30's. Perhaps this will be Rickie's spring board win. To pull it together and win a PGA tour event with a huge and boisterous crowd in tough conditions after that horrible triple and its after math was huge! It's not that Rickie is my favorite tour player - I just like seeing guys succeed - the beauty of golf is that you can watch guys succeed on multiple levels. It's very different from other sports.
