Rickie seems focused..a bit nervous but focused. Pulling hard for him with Kuch in the 2 spot and JT off the pace way back.

I've got a little guy who's pulling hard for a Rickie win today. For all the showbiz glitter around Rickie, I'm truly impressed at the way he carries himself on the course. He's not whiney or petulant or given to bursts of outrage. And he's so often the first guy in line to offer congratulations to someone else (which I don't intend as a backhanded swipe). For a guy in the spotlight as much as he is, it's quite impressive, and as a dad to a boy who loves Rickie, I appreciate him a great deal.

Just got home and caught the end of them talking about it.. Did he sole his club behind it or take any practice swings before walking up to the green? If he placed it then walked straight to the green that is a complete b.s. penalty and something needs to change with that rule.

I had to literally leave during that Rickie fiasco. I still don't understand why he opted to take the shot from down there rather than repeat the prior shot. I'm no pro but it looked a helluva lot easier than that over the bunker hill shot on slippery uneven footing...
