Rtracymog
Here are some of my numbers with the Sub70 4 wood from the other day. We didn’t hit many as it was windy but I really like the way this club flys. I’ll take 268 all day long. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpyThere is zero spin on that for a 4 Wood. What’s the decent angle like? Looks like it’s a bomber, but will it sit going into a green?Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Quote Cortex w/MGS Motore X F1 7X tipped 1" F5 17 degree hybrid w/Rogue Black 85X C300 Forged 3-5 w/C-Taper 130X FG Tour V6 5-6 w/C-Taper 130X Staff Model Blade 7-PW w/C-Taper 130X RTX4 52, 56, 60 w/S400 Tour Issue ER7

I know off of the tee I have no issue hitting it high (at least for me thats above the tree tops). I will find out if I can get the decent angle. I got this for more off of the tee. Lots of tight courses that this will be a great club for. cnosil, Rtracymog, M. I haven't played a ton with mine yet, but haven't had any issue hitting low bullets or high floaters depending on what I need to do. It sounds like this model and the original 939X will be included in the Most Wanted fairway wood testing so that is good. MattF, Rtracymog, M. PMookie
I hit about ten shots with the demo 639 CB 7 iron yesterday on the range, as I warmed-up to play. I bet if I had a blanket out on the range, 8 of those shots would’ve landed on that blanket! Straight, great launch window: not too high, not too low, a TINY draw of a couple yards, just perfect. Feel isn’t quite as good as my HM Pros when flushed, but the mark on the clubface is pretty much dead center every time I hit the thing. I’d say these for me well! I’m thoroughly impressed. I’m hoping to play again later today and get some shots on-course. I have discovered the same thing, actually. These things are fantastic. They feel VERY good. The rust is showing up, and they’re spinning nicely. I suspect the Modus Tour 120 shafts are helping, but, they are wicked saucy if you’re a pincher, which I definitely am. And, they look good. Leading edge is still something I’m getting used to after years of Edel wedges. But, they definitely perform. BuddaBlades
Wanted to show a pic from a range session today. This is a 60* wedge. Feels amazing. Spins like crazy. This was after about 5-6 shots. And, all the shots were able to be played. Flop, pinched runner for a quick stop, low piercing shot for a windy day, chip and run, you name it. Not sure what the bounce is, but, it’s feels fantastic. Seriously, I was spinning range balls like they were Pro V’s. I’ll play tomorrow and see what they actually do with a real ball, and report back. Hit the hybrids as well, and I really enjoy those. ProForce V2 shafts, absolute bombers. The wedges though. Wow. If I can get to where I’m truly comfortable with them as I was my Edel wedges, I’ll be elated. Edited April 6, 2019 by BuddaBlades JAGolfore, M. newballcoach
Now that golf season is here in Ontario I'm looking to give these irons a try. I've been looking to upgrade for a year plus but just haven't wanted to take the plunge. Buying irons (moreso than other clubs I think) is an investment. They're expensive and you're going to have them 5+ years likely. I really love the look of those 699's and I can't wait to order a demo and give them a go. Popular Post Sluggo42
So after about 40 rounds with my raw wedges, I thought I’d pass a few thoughts. “the wedges will kill”- haha ... reference to “Forged in Fire” They are sharp on the leading edge, but have a decent amount of bounce, 10°, and 12° on the 54°, to help not digging to China. They spin! A lot actually, which on my hard greens is good news. They’ve now become “broken in”, so the spin isn’t quite so vicious anymore. And they’re so versatile for whatever shot you want to play. final verdict is a very positive “heck yea”, these wedges not only feel fantastic, they look fantastic, and they perform fantastic. Two thumbs up without a doubt! revkev
I was going to call Sub 70 but thought I’d ask here I stead as others might be interested.Any thoughts on how the 739’s and the 639’s might fit together? I’d envision PW-8 with the 639’s and 7-5 with the 739. I’m an older moderate swing speed shallow swinger (picker) who still has a single digit handicap. But I need the bigger platform in those middle irons.I currently game Ping G 30’s. Love them from 7 iron up - can’t stand the 9 iron and wedge - oh do I dislike the look of them and the lack of feel and difficulty in control the trajectory.Thoughts on how to make that combo work?
