There's a ridiculous amount of food golf in that area. The ledges and entrada are two that come to mind. All the red Rock makes the whole area beautiful! You won't regret getting out!

The scenery is fabulous.  It's worth the trip.  I liked Sky Mountain and it was not very expensive.  Although I liked the course, I will never go back to play Green Springs.  The staff and pro were a..holes.  However, you could find a different experience, as that was many years ago.

If you are going to be in that area, you should play in Mesquite.  Fabulous!!

I love touring our national parks, and I don’t think I have ever had as much of a desire to return to one as Zion. The Narrows is a hike truly unlike anything else. Enjoy!!

Sand Hollow is another course down there worth trying out. I haven’t made it to mesquite yet but a friend has had great reviews of several courses.

I would certainly bring the twigs. Sounds like there are many more good options than bad ones!

Been digging around and I admit I had no idea that there was so many seemingly gorgeous courses in the are. My folks werent golfers but I can see why they loved going that way on vacations.

June the rates go way down and the temps go up. Got my eye on a few courses within 10 minutes of the Workdmark.  Cant wait!!

I've stayed at the Worldmark.  The Sunbrook courses next door are pretty good.

If I'm not mistaken, a number of years ago one of the big golf magazines named St. George as the number one place in the US to relocate for golf.  I believe they factored in climate, abundance of golf, quality of life, and a few other considerations.  But that was probably 20 plus years ago.  I've never been but it looks pretty sweet!

Im thinking that Sunbrook course wil fit the bill. Good price, allows non-golfer, and close. Im a guest on this trip with  good friend and her new husband and luckiily he is a golfer. I dont want to gokf too much but I plan on two roundsone way or another.

I think if I had a limited amount of days to play while in the St. George area and wanted to stay relatively close to your homebase, I would set my sights on playing the championship course at Sand Hollow. Its not as close as Sunbrook but I think it will give you a better Southern Utah golf experience...Like you said rates go down and the heat goes up...play early and bring a camera...F.Y.I. I would avoid Mesquite on your trip, they are doing road construction/bridge repair on I-15 and I would expect hour long delays...Enjoy!

Sand Holllow is definitely a course that should be on anyone's play list.  There are quite a few really top notch courses along the Red Rock trail to consider.

Sky Mountain (played twice) and Sand Hollow. Sky Mountain has gorgeous scenery, with Sand Hollow's front 9 with light elevations, until you reach #10...just beautiful. Either one highly worth it...and rates very reasonable.
