ChristianR
Hi all, very interesting works here, nice projects by everyone. Is there any difference on the stiffness of the shafts to be used? Because I found a deal but are X shafts, I'm normally playing reg or stiff depends on the sticks.
tony@CIC
Superspeed doesn't include that data in it's specs, but I'd assume that it doesn't matter. I'd go with whatever is cheapest and just make sure you got the correct weight for each of the three. I wouldn't worry about the stiffness of the shafts, only the length and total weight. On that note, I still use these sticks at least once a week and they've held up well. The grips are starting to get a little worn, but otherwise the set is in great shape. Although I did need to trim down the length that the threaded rod extended past my largest weight since I kept hitting it on the ground and it would bend slightly. Even with those occasionally bends, it's still rocking out well and my driver speed is hovering around 120mph now (was about 105 to begin) Quote In my Hoofer: G410 LST 10.5* - Kai'Li White 60 X-flex VRS Covert 3W 15* - Kuro Kage 65 S-flex T200 4-GW, DG X100 Tour Issue - Tester Glide 2.0 Stealth 54.12 SS & 58.10 SS Zing 2 LW - 60* Anser
Ian P
In the desire to increase my swing speed I have been following this post and really believe in the premise. I have been trying another method that I hope doesn't come across as too simplistic. Iron heads are always heavier than a driver head so I took an old Taylor made 4 iron head and put it on a 45" driver shaft. It gets me right to that 15% heavier weight that the program calls for, plus I'm looking at and swinging a real looking club. To get the feeling of a lighter setup, I just choke down on the grip thereby reducing the overall weight feeling. Seems to make sense and works for me.
