Scotty Custom Shop - Anyone w/ Experience?

So as much as I do love my putter in stock form, I really wouldn't mind getting rid of the glare. Have any of you spies ever used Scotty's Shop? What did you like/not like? How's the quality?

I know there are plenty of other places I could send my putter to, but I'm not interested in them at the moment. I specifically want to know about the Scotty Cameron shop so if anyone has sent their putter(s) in for work, please sound off below.

Also, does anyone know if the SC shop could/would do a black shaft in my putter? It isn't listed as an option, but is certainly something I'd be interested in.

The quality is excellent. It just costs an exorbitant amount of money for the amount of work that goes into the putter.

Yeah.... I hate that the only way I can get the top of my putter done in black is to purchase the full restoration service. I know I could get what I want done for less at BOS or somewhere similar, but I like the idea of having the SC shop do it - if for nothing else just because of brand loyalty.

Great quality but you pay for it. I have several Scotty’s from the custom shop and they are fantastic. That being said I have one done by BOS, one from Kevin Colbert and my favorite from RookieBlue that are just as good from a quality standpoint. I have a Futura Phantom that is heading out to the Putter Lounge for a spa treatment.

There’s something to be said for the continuity of care as well. If you ever choose to sell it, many buyers would prefer one that was built and maintained and or modified exclusively by Scotty. It also protects you from someone alleging it’s not authentic.

I sent a beat up laguna for a refurb and it came back in perfect shape.
