Sweet!  Which club?  Trump?  Belmont? River Creek?   I've played Trump back when it was called Lowes Island, but that's been years ago.

Belmont. I have access to River Creek and a couple other local courses as well. Absolutely love River Creek. Haven't made it out to Trump yet but hoping someone can get me out there soon. Heard it's great.

Awesome!  I've played them all at some point.  It's been a few years since I've been on Belmont but I'm sure it would come back to me.  An acquaintance of mine used to be a member there (he & his family used to live in the neighborhood)  But I don't think they are now since he got a divorce & his kids are grown.

Hello MGS! Been stalking for a few months and decided to dive in  I’m Chris from Lancaster NY.

I've been playing golf since I watched Tiger and Phil dazzle the world in the early nineties  I was in college and didn’t know what I didn’t know but I loved it.  My best day was when my son was born in 2004 but marriage, home and kid derailed my golf. Twenty years later I’m back and my son is hooked too so I get to talk about and play the game with him which is amazing! Been back playing one season and despite finding all of my old bad habits, I’ve improved and I even broke 100 on my last round of the year. I carry a 32.8 handicap but my goal for 2025 is a 90 and low 20s.

I love this game for the gear, finding other golfers to share my passion and being outdoors while I face the challenge.

I stumbled across MGS about a month too late this summer after making some sub-optimal gear decisions but I’ve come to trust their product evaluations deeply. Most of my bag is kitted out from their Buyers Guides.

My home base is the Buffalo NY area and I branch out to Rochester where my son is in school. We try to find new courses to play whenever we can and leverage GolfPass for all the just in time deals we can. We both have Mill Creek in Rochester as our favorite from the 15 or so courses we’ve tried so far. My favorite part of golf here is simply summer. Summer in WNY is elite. The downside is obviously winter. Winter in WNY is better than you think from the stories on the news but golf is a no go. I’ve been working on kitting the garage out with a Launch Pro and projector but it’s slow, especially with all of the projects I ignored while golfing!

Doing IT at a local university keeps me flush and gives me opportunities for time away when the season is right. Just have to keep myself interested when I’ve been at it for 27 years and golf is so much more fun.

My handle is pretty self explanatory. I was looking for a simpler custom domain for email this summer and came up with badgolf.life so now it’s my badge.
